All the ones that aranged for brexit without any clear plan can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. That's why we are in such a mess now!

YA definitely NBU!

We are slouching toward Armageddon.

BrexitBingoGenerator · 06/02/2019 20:02

Could agree more.

I hope Donald tusk is a mumsnetter so that he can hear us agreeing with him!

BjorkShush · 06/02/2019 20:02

The BBC are the elite propaganda. I plan to cancel my license.

Unescorted · 06/02/2019 20:02

Brexit is Waiting for Godot crossed with Reservoir Dogs. Mr Tusk is right - only the terminally stupid and evil promote an action without having any inkling of how they will successfully implement the plan.

rosie39forever · 06/02/2019 20:03

I think he was very restrained not enough 4 letter words in the English language to describe how I feel about the arseholes who set this in motion or the mindless twats who voted for it.

mummmy2017 · 06/02/2019 20:04

He sounds like a nasty controling husband.
Bitter that he is being divorced and losing part of the join income....

BrexitBingoGenerator · 06/02/2019 20:04

Sorry, meant couldn’t Blush.
YANBU Donald Tusk!

tilder · 06/02/2019 20:04

If he is pissed off, I got the impression his ire is aimed at the utter incompetence of our politicians.

Biggest peacetime disaster to face our nation. With utter fuckwits in charge.

PossiblyPFB · 06/02/2019 20:04

YANBU. I see a time where we go begging cap in hand to rejoin. Sadly I think that’s the way it’ll have to be after a hard landing...and folks including brexiteers start feeling the impact.....genuinely can’t see how this will all pan out hunky dory!

BrexitBingoGenerator · 06/02/2019 20:05

mummy2017 do you actually understand what he has said?

How can you not agree? There is no plan!

(Are you actually Andrea Leadsom? She’s just said exactly the same thing on radio4🤩

SusanWalker · 06/02/2019 20:06

The truth hurts. It's about time someone called those bastards out instead of letting them hide behind the 'remainer' pm and parliament.

Of course if he's wrong and they have a plan then they can get it out of their filing cabinet and dust it down and prove it. 😂

surferjet · 06/02/2019 20:08

I hope he keeps ranting, he’s doing the leave campaign so many favours.

mummmy2017 · 06/02/2019 20:08

Just has not happened yet.
Part of the deal making was no trade deals till we leave.
How can we then do them and know where we stand, till we leave.

BrexitBingoGenerator · 06/02/2019 20:10

How, surferjet?

The only way this could help Leavers is if they magically produce an amazing plan, complete with a flawless solution to the Irish border.

Are you expecting this plan any time soon? Before the comic timing runs out?

surferjet · 06/02/2019 20:13

He’s showing the EU up for what it is - A nasty dictatorship.
He wants a special place in hell for UK politicians?

He sounds deranged.

Notmorewashing · 06/02/2019 20:14

He’s correct! Don’t see what the outrage is

HollowTalk · 06/02/2019 20:17

I think he's absolutely right. He's not saying anyone who wants to leave Europe is wrong, just that the politicians who put the whole country in jeopardy with that referendum deserve a huge punishment.

Everyone in the world can see that the UK is a mess because of that referendum and yet nothing is being done by our politicians. We might as well not have an opposition. Our government is useless but is dealing with something that's impossible to sort out.

AntheaGreenfern · 06/02/2019 20:18

It's a expression I dislike. I've heard the Madeleine Albright version about women.

If you believe in hell it's nasty, if you don't it's daft hyperbole imho.

I also dislike "hold their feet to the fire", just no. All too mediaeval for my taste!

theWarOnPeace · 06/02/2019 20:18

The only Donald I can get on board with.

TaimaandRanyasBestFriend · 06/02/2019 20:19

Brexit is Waiting for Godot crossed with Reservoir Dogs.

Applauds!

scaryteacher · 06/02/2019 20:20

No-one has yet managed to tell me where we will be in 10 years if we stay in; will we be part of PESCO and the nascent EU army? Will we be on the hook for bailing out Italy even thought we are not part of the EZ? Will we be happy when the country that is the sex trafficking and illegal weapons trafficking hub of Europe accedes, and we have no way under freedom of movement of stopping this?

What about when the treaties self amend and more and more moves to QMV (which is why Article 50 was invoked when it was), so we have no veto any more? What about when the pressure to federalise becomes more intense, and to join the Euro? When the ECJ is held to have primacy (the acquis being designed for this), and taxation powers across member states being centralised in Brussels?

Perhaps Rosie39forever those who voted Leave think you are a mindless twat for being suckered and wanting to stay in?

YANBU

And I can but laugh at the pathetic snowflakery displayed today by those sad little brexiters who've spent the past couple of years spouting the vilest abuse at anyone connected to the EU. I think Tusk was pretty restrained.

TabbyCat44 · 06/02/2019 20:24

Yadnbu! I agree with him.

dontcallmelen · 06/02/2019 20:24

I’m only sad that it was Tusk who said it, rather than one of our own parliament representatives but wait, they won’t because the majority of them are self serving cunts & a special place right next to lucifer should be reserved for the ERG/DUP
