To ask how many people you've slept with?

I had DS young and have only slept with 1 other person other than DP.
A friend made a light hearted comment about do I not feel like I've missed out, and I feel bad to say it resonated with me.

AIBU to feel sad that 2 might be my lifetime number??

I’ve stopped counting...it means nothing. The old cliche of life being a rich tapestry of experiences is more applicable to me. Every person I’ve slept with has meant something at that specific time.

I’ve never kept count, this question comes up often on here and I genuinely don’t understand why it would be relevant. At a guess it’s probably somewhere between 10 and 20 but whether it was 1 or 100, who cares?

A further thought. Number 3 is my current DP. I love him more than anyone other than my DC. If he were suddenly rendered impotent, I would be happy just to hold his hand (and I had a sexless marriage, so I know what it's like to do without - though that was not due to impotence, more to a dysfunctional relationship). If I never had another shag as long as I live, I'd be glad he was the last. There's more to this whole business than the number of penises you've had in your vagina.
