Strange car - why???

First up am going to say this mystery is unlikely to be solved. But... I live on a private road and every day for the last week a car has parked up on the road (people in it but can’t make them out) twice a day for about five minutes and the driven off.

Background info - they don’t get out of the car, they don’t as far as I know live in any of the other houses- and even if they did why park up randomly twice a day and not get out, and yes - I do have too much time on my hands 😊

Unlikely to be a pokestop on a private road. I still play it and the stops are either shops, museums, public transport places, parks, works of art.....that sort of thing.

Take them some tea. It's nippy out there.

Every couple of years the Council send PIs to stalk me as for some reason they can't accept that I live by myself (hence claim Council tax discount). I live down a tiny Lane and they seem to sit watching my house AM and PM waiting for my imaginary partner to leave and return from work, Sunday morning is also a favourite. They only stay for 10-15 mins (parked by the Post Box!) I confronted one once by practically throwing myself in front of the car as he tried to speed off and he admitted what he was doing.

The thing is -the only place a PI could possibly see into would be me Perhaps dh has hired them assuming I’m going wild when he’s at work

Could they be smoking? Where I live we always have random cars wth 2/3 people in parking up on quiet roads to have a cig/smoke weed. My parents road used to be a hotspot. Kids would come park at the end of their road, smoke a joint and then leave again. In the summer you could real,y smell it when all the windows were open

Quick wank!!! I mean I'm no prude but in public where anyone including children could walk past.. I hope not

Any update OP? Were they there again today?

I would take photo of them and car reg, make a note of times and report it as suspicious behaviour to the police. They will have it on record then, it does seem odd and I know burglars ch ck out and watch for weeks in advance

Could stand in front of their car and take their number plate down. If they ask what you are doing just say its your turn being neighbourhood watch and what are they doing.

I would do this to put the wind up them.

Yep there again today (though only clocked it once. No one got out - couldn’t make out how many in car. Really don’t think potential burglars (though there has been a spate of burglary’s here). Really don’t think anything too sinister. It’s too far for me to dash out and find out - so I guess it will remain a mystery- unless of course I see a guy shakily get out, tread fretfully toward the post box with a group of others smiling encouragingly.
