Unbelievable! This poor child (upsetting content)

There is already a thread on FWR but this needs sharing as widely as possible

I can't get my head around this, I keep reading and re-reading, how is this possible? That poor girl and her family, how can he get away with nothing I mean to not even see the reasons why?!?

silkpyjamasallday · 29/01/2019 09:57

This is absolutely disgusting. What the actual fuck is happening to our society? How can this monster be allowed to continue his life as normal after destroying this little girls? And he is going to be allowed to sedate people... I despair. It's stories like this which make me think vigilante justice isn't so bad

WokeNotBloke · 29/01/2019 09:59

This is awful. There can be no justification, and even if they think there is, than the public has a right to know what it is. How dare they protect a predatory man over the child?

Is anyone doing anything about it? Are there any petitions or letter wtiting campaigns - maybe MN should start one?

fancynancyclancy · 29/01/2019 10:00

And I find it super depressing that the first comment is about this lad's future

Yep, what about the little girls future?

AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 10:00

So to sum up - they found him guilty, but they're letting him go and not putting him on the registry, and they're not going to explain why, because who the fuck cares what the public think. Have I got this about right?

Ribbonsonabox · 29/01/2019 10:02

Well I dont think children no matter what they have done should ever be placed in jail.... but I'd want to know what was actually being done about this crime? Surely they must have forced him to attend regular counselling etc? I cant read the end of the article.... I doubt he will ever be allowed to work with children or in many positions of responsibility, with that conviction on his record so I dont think he has 'got away' with this at all.

Pk37 · 29/01/2019 10:02

I’m lost for words .
As an absolute minimum he should be on a sex offenders register .
Stunned that he has literally got away with it while that poor little girls went through all that for absolutely nothing.
So , so wrong..

Pk37 · 29/01/2019 10:03

Ribbonsonabox
There was no conviction! There will be nothing on his records!

feministfairy · 29/01/2019 10:03

Indeed silkpyjamasallday
All of this reduces people's respect for the law. If a predator like this can be let off with no consequences, where does this leave everyone looking to the police and the judiciary to protect us - and especially our children.

I do try not to buy into the 'we're all doomed' narrative. But then there's something like this where the legal system's values are so evidently screwed - and all we're left with is utter despair. A 6 year old ffs.

Ribbonsonabox · 29/01/2019 10:06

Pk37 really?!? Well that is nuts. There certainly should be something on his records.

x2boys · 29/01/2019 10:06

Not having a conviction doesn't mean it won't be on his record though don't police cautions show up?.and they are not convictions

littlbrowndog · 29/01/2019 10:07

He hasn’t got a conviction
He got an absolute dishcharge
He is a student and 18

feministfairy · 29/01/2019 10:08

Are you really OK Ribbonsinabox with him receiving no 'punishment? Between the ages of 15 - 17 he repeatedly sexually assaulted a 6 year old girl. And he walks away and that's OK?

OP posts:
littlbrowndog · 29/01/2019 10:09

It wasn’t a crazy moment it was over 2 years

fancynancyclancy · 29/01/2019 10:13

It's stories like this which make me think vigilante justice isn't so bad

I watched an interesting show on one of the crime channels about Gary Plauche, I was very surprised he got no jail time.

Maryjoyce · 29/01/2019 10:21

Yes he should be on the sex offenders list register for life

Maryjoyce · 29/01/2019 10:24

A caution is not a conviction but is in the criminal record and it is considered in any later prosecutions for other offences

AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 10:25

Ribbons, do you think someone capable of raping a little girl at 15 is going to get nicer or less dangerous with age? He won't, this is just the beginning.

Ribbonsonabox · 29/01/2019 10:25

I dont think anything should be about 'punishment' should it? What on earth does that achieve? Especially in the case of a child harming another child. Surely it should be about how to prevent it happening again.... jail time for a child is generally ridiculous, especially when as the article says he is from a middle class family who give a shit about him. Jail time usually only makes the criminality of a child like that worse. And a child assaulting another child is a psychological problem... punishment isnt going to fix it. You've got to look at what is actually going to be the best thing to do to sort the issue out. It cost a lot of money to hold people in prison... of theres absolutely no benefit to doing so the what is the point? Children who go into prison that young have a very high chance of reoffending... it should only be used as a last resort for very violent reoffenders.

I'm not okay if it is true that he has received zero consequences however. It needs to be showing up on his record. He should not be allowed to work with children ever.

GB54 · 29/01/2019 10:26

I can’t understand why they’ve done that.
That poor girl. Having to go through court and be cross-examined for two hours. For what? Awful.

Maryjoyce · 29/01/2019 10:27

Let’s hope he meets some nice new friends soon instead

Ribbonsonabox · 29/01/2019 10:27

Angryattackkittons I did not say that! I certainly dont think that! But I can tell you that prison would only make him more dangerous. It would serve no purpose.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 10:27

I'm sorry, but if you think this bloke is low risk for reoffending you have no understanding of pedophilia at all.

QueenOfTheAndals · 29/01/2019 10:29

It’s a very upsetting event but is it the dome thing to criminalise children for life and put them on the sex offender register for offences at aged 15?

He was 15. Not 5.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 10:29

Take dangerous person. Teach them that if they do the bad things that they want to do they can get away with it. Brilliant plan, what could possibly go wrong?
