glow sticks Okay you must be trolling me now! Plastic and full of chemicals and fucking light emitting

I once set up a crafts table at my 6 year old's party but instead of putting paint out I put fabric paint. That was a good moment.

For a while there in the wilderness years, I seriously thought party bags should be banned by law - ideally by constitutional amendment.

Best party bag we ever got was a water bottle filled with a few sweets. They used those water bottles for years.

I suggest you put an actual rainbow in each party. They’re free, and even come with a pot of gold at each end Grin

Maybe someone has already suggested these, sorry if so!

They are £1.20 each. You could do a pack of rainbow drops, a set of crayons and a notebook, and that would be around your budget if you just get cheap mini notebooks from EBay or Amazon or something.

oohh...torch, watering can and collecting tray and you can indeed have an actual rainbow in the party.

The key thing is to make a very very fine spray...so the rainbow will be cool and the tray won't fill up too quickly.

M3lon no, not trolling. We put some glow sticks in dd(3)'s stocking this year and they were one of her most played with Christmas presents. We even had a glow in the dark bath with a few glow sticks in the water under the bubbles, she loved it.

I can understand your objections based on an argument against single use plastics but I think you are asking a bit much to discount any items that may contain or be made of chemicals.
