You poor thing, have you taken paracetamol or ibuprofen to reduce your temperature? Try to sleep propped up tk help the cough, and sip water if you can. If it gets tricky to breathe maybe call nhs 24 or try to get a docs appt tomorrow am. Even if you're shivering you're likely burning a temp so don't overheat by piling on covers

Maybe this will cheer you up...I’ve also been feeling rubbish with symptoms much like yourself. Forced myself to go out to a pantomime my friend was in (cos I promised I would). Put a wee bit of effort into trying to look less zombified than I felt, by wearing a sequin-jazzy-blouse. Got home, stripped off ready to flake into bed only to discover my entire torso covered in red sticky out welts ☹️ So feel like shit and now look like a leper victim due to sequin-jazzy-blouse allergy...hope it’s gone by tomorrow ☹️

I've had it this week. Feels like flu, doesn't it? It's absolutely floored me.

I’m suffering the same symptoms - Lemsip at 12:00 and alarm set for another at 5:00. I have a day out planned tomorrow - I HAVE to be well!! You really have my sympathy - it’s rotten isn’t it.

I'm awake because DP is ill. He says he feels sick and I am so fucking terrified of vomit I am lying in the spare room with a racing heart. Aren't I awful? I hope you feel better soon.

I'm up, also ill. Had a headache since Monday, started with a sore throat and cough yesterday, felt sick since this afternoon and just thrown up spectacularly. Now laid in bed with an acid burnt throat, still bubbling burps.

Another sickie - sniffles and throat tightening up - headache for 3 days Gah would be the weekend. Wishing us all well...

If you can lay your hand on a good hot-water bottle, there is nothing better for the shivers.

Off my face on zopiclone and codeine here. Should be passed out completely but had a serious breakdown round 9pm and it takes hours to recover. The tears cause mega headaches.

I've been ill all week OP. I know I'm recovering now though because I've got the intense urge to clean (does anyone else get that as they're coming out of an illness?) so I've been dusting and hoovering the past couple of hours! It feels like it's going to last forever when you're in the throws of some horrible lurgy though, I know. Boxsets I know by heart so don't have to concentrate on (upbeat stuff like FRIENDS) and hot, diluted juice were the answer for me, along with painkillers and a bed to snuggle in. At least it's the weekend now.

Urgh! Me too, am breastfeeding so afaik can only have paracetamol and hot water with honey and lemon. Can't sleep and DS will no doubt wake very soon for his next feed.

I'm not ill but DD (4) is. She very clearly has a.stomach bug... DS (1) thinks us all being up in the night is a jolly fucking adventure. Poor DH has work in the too.
