DP family have an agreement to give
Let’s say 2 camels each

So DP buys all family all the time even DB wife Always got 2 camels!

I’ve been with DP 12 months had one Christmas with DP
Never thoughtful it’s was a candle whereas I put thought into what we brought DP brother and wife!!

DP just won’t say anything but will reduce amounts if at my birthday is only 1 camel and will make it seem everyone skint so shall they all reduce to 1 camel! I moaned at my DSIS about not getting DP a present but DBIL was suspended!

I find this really upsetting and a insult to DP relationship with me!

AIBU and drama queen?

Or should DP grow some balls!

The most poorly written confusing post I have come across

sweeneytoddsrazor · 24/01/2019 12:40

I would love a camel.

Housingcraze · 24/01/2019 12:40

Apologies for not choosing to have dyslexia 😂

BishBoshBashBop · 24/01/2019 12:41

Ok.....

CantWaitToRetire · 24/01/2019 12:42

I've read this three times and can't work out what you're saying, sorry.

Housingcraze · 24/01/2019 12:42

More blunt
DP family only got me 1 camel instead of two camels - I feel hurt and upset and DP doesn’t understand why!

All of DP ex got 2 camels!
DP always spent 2 camels on everyone!

More clear?

Houseonahill · 24/01/2019 12:42

It's not dyslexia that's the problem it's the camels. Where do they put all these camels? 2 camels each is a lot of camels.

Marmite27 · 24/01/2019 12:42

What’s camels got to do with it?

Kikipost · 24/01/2019 12:43

It makes no sense whatsoever

MartagonLilies · 24/01/2019 12:43

OP Your post makes no sense, even knowing(?) that you're using camels as an example.

You got one of these items on your birthday, vs your DP's SIL getting 2 at Christmas? And you complained to your sister as your didn't get your DP a present, yet DP says nothing to his family in a similar situation? Although they did get you a present, no?

Also, I'm assuming here. No idea if I've guessed correctly or not. Perhaps explain slightly clearer OP ?

Housingcraze · 24/01/2019 12:43

Lol 😂 I thought it be easier to communicate rather than it being about money it’s about principle!

OP posts:
Housingcraze · 24/01/2019 12:44

@MartagonLilies on the ball 😂😂

OP posts:
Doyoumind · 24/01/2019 12:45

It's the thought that counts.

Houseonahill · 24/01/2019 12:45

Ok so you're upset because your DPs family only spent half as much money on you as they did each other? And you have been with DP 12 months?

If that is correct YABU you can't just demand someone who isn't even related to you spend as much money on as a blood relative (in fact you can't just demand anyone spend any amount of money on you)

PawPawNoodle · 24/01/2019 12:45

You have been with this man for a year so are being too expectant, maybe in the future you will get both of your expected camels.

CantWaitToRetire · 24/01/2019 12:45

So you're upset that your DP's brother and wife (or sister and husband) are not spending as much on you, or putting as much thought into your gifts, as they did with previous partners that your DP had?

Return the favour then and only spend a smaller amount on them. If they complain, your DP should say 'oh, as you only spent X amount on Housingcraze, I thought we were reducing what we spend now'.

Fluffyears · 24/01/2019 12:45

Is it a riddle, does the camel walk up the post office steps?

sweeneytoddsrazor · 24/01/2019 12:46

So everyone got 2 camels, and in your first xmas together his family only got you 1 camel. That sounds reasonable, they havent known you very long. Don't see a problem with it.

Housingcraze · 24/01/2019 12:46

So DP sister in law always from day one got 2 camels

Whereas I only one 🐪

OP posts:
Racecardriver · 24/01/2019 12:46

YABU. Getting two camels is far worse than only getting one.

JasperKarat · 24/01/2019 12:47

You've only been together a year is nice they got you a birthday present , you shouldn't be comparing how much it is worth, because let's face it this is about money.

bridgetreilly · 24/01/2019 12:47

Well, obviously they don't like you as much as they liked her.

Shoxfordian · 24/01/2019 12:48

Don't get the hump about it....

Friendsupport · 24/01/2019 12:49

Can you fit 2 camels in your garden?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/01/2019 12:49
