And don't believe you if you tell them. Facts and laws just seem to be wafted away as irrelevant.

Chloe, we already had control. You were duped. I can't sugar coat it and am bored of trying to.
You think it's economically uncomfortable now? You think it can't get any worse? It will get worse if we no deal. Much much worse and you will have even less control over it.

MissMalice · 24/01/2019 14:36

are in fact fully aware of what this means,
Except you can’t be because nobody fully knows what it means.

Quietrebel · 24/01/2019 14:38

there must be a huge gain to make it worthwhile. What is it?

Ha! There's huge financial gains alright- just not for us.
No dealers are a bunch of fucking pirates.

MissMalice · 24/01/2019 14:45

The control point has surely gone utterly out of the window with JRM calling for Parliament to be shut down. There’s far too much information out there already about the kind of control we already have and don’t utilise and the level of influence we have within the EU. That’s before we even look at the utter mess of government and Parliament that represent our “control”.

Havanananana · 24/01/2019 14:48

Chloemol

Have you stopped to think about who is actually seeking to gain control over the UK? Brexit is just the enabler - the real prize for the Britannia Unchained mob is an unregulated, free-market country where the economically and politically strong can exploit the weak. Once all of the jobs have gone and minimum wages and standards abolished, people will be fighting to get any job, at any wage - just like in the third world countries so admired by Raab, Patel and Truss. Meanwhile the Atlantic Bridge/USA supporters have spent 30 years trying to sell the UK to the Americans - listen to their loud squeals now that they are getting within touching distance of a huge payoff, but might yet be denied.

It might be true that Brexit brings dividends at some time in the future - despite all of the evidence that Brexit will be a catastrophe - but when? Rees-Mogg reckons 50 years or more but people need food and medicines next week; they need operations next month; they need a wage packet to pay for food tomorrow; they need a job for their dignity and self-worth; your granny needs a care home to live in and staff to help her. All of these are at immediate risk if the UK crashes out of the EU on 29th March.

Hands up who thinks Chloe will come back with some clarification and reassuring words for us Hmm

Bluntness100 · 24/01/2019 15:32

I, along with lots of others, are in fact fully aware of what this means

Can you go an explain it to parliament then and U.K. big businesses because even the most knowledgeable only know in wide brush strokes, if you're fully aware I suggest you notify the press.

BorisBogtrotter · 24/01/2019 15:49

Chloe is yet another leaver talking in soundbites, not facts or reality.

BorisBogtrotter · 24/01/2019 15:54

In fact I'm going to go ahead and say this its been bubbling under the surface for a long time.

The "exactly what it means" crowd no nothing.

There is no valid reason for their beliefs.

The leave vote is one of victimhood, perpetually, they will never ever stop whining or blaming others.

bellinisurge · 24/01/2019 15:59

@BorisBogtrotter , I admit I am having a "fuck it, hope they starve" kind of day. I have to fight that feeling quite hard sometimes.

MrsTerryPratcett · 24/01/2019 16:04

Fuck it, indeed.

To think the only people who want 'Nn Deal' have no idea what this means?
MrsTerryPratcett · 24/01/2019 16:05

Let's try that again...

To think the only people who want 'Nn Deal' have no idea what this means?
bellinisurge · 24/01/2019 16:07

Once again, Terry Pratchett has nailed it. Even after his death.

surferjet · 24/01/2019 16:11

😂 so you think if the EU do decide to starve the UK as some sort of ‘punishment’ they’ll only starve leave voters?
How will they know how anyone voted?

bellinisurge · 24/01/2019 16:15

Is that to me @surferjet ? Pretty sure we are all equally screwed by this insanity. But as a prepper I get to put a bit (just a bit( of insulation between me and being screwed.

KennDodd · 24/01/2019 16:20

For the UK to commit itself to such huge financial self-harm, there must be a huge gain to make it worthwhile. What is it?

Is it blue passports?
Is it that we missed the IRA and want them back?
Somebody said to me they voted leave because people have it too easy these days. Maybe it's that?
No, I know, it's looking a complete and utter fool to the international community.

Please tell me that number 3, we've got it too easy, isn't true Ken!! Shock

MrsTerryPratcett · 24/01/2019 16:24

What a bizarre post surfer I don't think the EU will starve us. I think we have decided to throw a bomb in our food security all by ourselves.

KennDodd · 24/01/2019 16:24

so you think if the EU do decide to starve the UK as some sort of ‘punishment’ they’ll only starve leave voters?

Oh, look, just how somebody up thread said. Leavers will continue to blame the EU for simply following WTO rules with absolutely no insight into how they've been duped.

MrsTerryPratcett · 24/01/2019 16:25

Someone on another thread said that, essentially, leave was punishment for MC people who benefited from Europe. They didn't think WC people would be better off, they just wanted MC people to suffer with them.

KennDodd · 24/01/2019 16:27

Passportapplication
It is. Its actually one of the few reasons I've heard for voting leave that isn't just plain wrong or racist though. You really cant argue with his logic.

OP posts:
joystir59 · 24/01/2019 16:29

Brexiters I have spoken to all seem to be full of racist and/or zenophorphobic rage- and to live in places where there is no immigration to speak of

joystir59 · 24/01/2019 16:30

zenophobic

MissMalice · 24/01/2019 16:30

The EU isn’t deciding anything. This is self inflicted.

surferjet · 24/01/2019 16:33

So who’s fault is it if people die due to lack of food/ medication getting into the UK?

Who will you blame?

Also, do we not produce any food of our own? Is every morsel of food that passes our lips imported?

I’ve always supported British farmers & food produces & buy British.
Will I still stave to death?
