I've always been skinny / slim but after 2 kids I've suddenly realised I'm not any more following a run in with the scales at the doctors surgery Confused.

I think I have a rare form of body dismorphia where I think I'm skinnier than I am Grin. No idea what size etc I am now. I'm 5ft 8 and 11st 4lb. I have previously always been around the 9.5 stone mark.

Finding it difficult to lose the baby weight after #2 as there is NO TIME! Any tips?

I’m 5’7 and around 9 stone 4. I want to drop the 4lbs though. I don’t carry weight well—it all sits around my middle Sad

Encyclo · 22/01/2019 23:47

I’m 5’2 and weigh 12 stone. Would be happy at 10.5. So it’s Slimming World all the way in 2019

girl78 · 22/01/2019 23:51

5’2, 11 stone. 12-14.

Christmasfairy07 · 22/01/2019 23:54

I’m 5ft 2.5” & weigh around 9 stone. At my heaviest I was 13 stone. Can’t imagine being that size now.

Crackerjackerknacker · 23/01/2019 00:54

Just to buck the trend above and throw in a slightly more everage size woman in terms of clothing size (I think UK average is 16?) ....I'm 14.5 stone. 5' 10" size 16/18 age 51 Very low blood pressure, fit and healthy according to my last health check ( I run half marathons). Thin does not nec mean healthy of course.

Lisabel · 23/01/2019 01:17

5 foot 6
14 st 2.5lbs
Size 16/18

Not long ago I was 10st 7 and a size 10/12

halfwitpicker · 23/01/2019 01:44

My great aunt used to say 'If your weight is in double figures (i.e. over ten stones) you are FAT.

She was a colossal bitch though.

^

She sounds fabulous Grin

Justworried20146 · 23/01/2019 01:48

I’m 5 ft 8 and weigh 11 stone now which is the heaviest I have been but weirdly the happiest I have been with my self.
I really do not suit skinny.
I’m going to make a effort not to get any bigger though
I am naturally curvy ! Boobs are an F hips have always been wide. However had 0 bum / legs or waist and looked ill in the face really easily.
I’m happy with the way I am for now :)

Justworried20146 · 23/01/2019 01:49

Forgot to add in about a 12 on bottom - 12-14 on top although this would be more of a solid 12 if I didn’t have my boobs haha my belly area is always swinging

RonaldMcDonald · 23/01/2019 01:54

Almost 5”10 and 151 lbs - I am on a diet

Endofrelationship · 23/01/2019 01:55

12stone 10. 5ft 7 size 16.

I am only 4 days post partum but weigh 3lbs less than when I conceived. I'm just flabbier.

knittedjest · 23/01/2019 02:05

I'm 5'5 and 9st 8lb. Wear a size 8-10 but I have uncomfortably big boobs for my size. I would prefer to be a couple of cups smaller but no matter how much weight I lose they just never seem to get any smaller so I've reluctantly made peace with the fact I will always be a big chested bitch. Everybody has something they are uncomfortable with I guess.

nos123 · 23/01/2019 02:23

I HATE these threads. I’ve always struggled with ED and after having DS it seems to be flaring up and all I can see is this... 😩

lljkk · 23/01/2019 04:46

You need to just hide the threads for your sanity, @nos123.
Notorious that ppl under-estimate their true weight, too (me guilty too)
How sad am I? I typed all these data in to a spreadsheet, and...

the avg poster here was 5'7" (which is taller than avg = 5'5"). The avg reported BMI here = 23.x (compared to avg for UK women of 26.9).

A third of posters admit to being overweight BMI (compared to 57% of all Uk women with BMI >= 25).

I don't know how to characterise clothing sizes reported here, but 10 is probably median.

lljkk · 23/01/2019 04:49

Oh nuts, I got that wrong, oops! Avg height reported here = 5'5.5". Compares to Uk avg = 5.4.5". Given the lack of old ladies in our cohort, quite avg. Men lie (including to selves) about their height. Women not so much.

NakedAvenger · 23/01/2019 05:34

5ft 7 and 13st 11 (down from 14st 9 on 4th Jan).

Size? Ha! 16-18 usually but my most comfy knickers are 20/22.

Target is 10.5 stone by July. Haven't weighed that since I was 24 (45 atm)

Endofrelationship · 23/01/2019 05:53

Brilliant work there lljkk I do however think that slimmer people are more likely to respond on these threads, so aren't representative.

Mominatrix · 23/01/2019 06:10

5'2"
98-100 lbs (about bang on 7 stone)
size 6

I know I am considered slim here in the West, but I am considered average sized in E Asia.

OrcinusOrca · 23/01/2019 06:18

5'8.5" and 9st 13, size 10.

I yo-yo sometimes, I'm 27 now and this is the lowest I've been as an adult so I'm quite proud which is why I'm happy to post! When I was 19 I was over 12st can't remember exactly how much. Got down to 10st 4 before I was 20. When I was 22 I slowly started to gain and was up to 11st 6 until I was nearly 25, then I went down to 10.5st. Then over the year to 26 I ended up at 11.2, and now I'm down again!

I don't think it can be healthy to fluctuate like I do. The more I've aged the more I end up not eating when I'm stressed. I can also comfort eat though, I love unhealthy food. I wish I had a healthier relationship with food.

Bamchic · 23/01/2019 06:18

5”6 1/2
10st 6 Lbs
ANYWHERE FROM A SIZE 8 TO A SIZE FOURTEEN BECAUSE SHOPS A GROSSLY INCONSISTENT IN SIZING. 🤦‍♀️

MattBerrysHair · 23/01/2019 06:25

5'2" 10 stone 5lb size 12. I've just lost 7lb and I plan to lose the same again and get to a size 10 as that is where I'm most comfortable.

The variations in height/size/bodyweight are astonishing!

LaBelleSausage · 23/01/2019 06:26

Similar to you OP.
5ft8, just under 11stone and a 12/14. I’m a 32FF which can occasionally put me in a larger size in fitted dresses. Definitely an hourglass so I have big hips but a small waist (although not that small anymore as I’m currently pregnant)

CakeInMyFace · 23/01/2019 06:50

I'm about 5ft 1inch and I weigh around 55kg which is just under 9 stone. I was under 8 stone last year and since joining the gym last year I have gained weight! I am a size 8 mostly but wear the odd 6 in tops in some brands as lots of oversized styles at the moment. Also wear the odd size 10 in some jeans.

Am 41 bit definitely struggle with being worried about my size and body, especially now that it is less slim and more muscled.

AgentJohnson · 23/01/2019 06:53

newnameforthis7. exactly. How much do you weigh and what’s your arbitrary clothes measurement threads, achieve what exactly?

speakout · 23/01/2019 06:53

I haven't weighed myself for around 12 years- I have no idea what I weigh.

I do know that size 10 jeans fit me comfortably ( I am 5'6" and I feel fit and healthy.

I am not sure that knowing my weight is necessary.
