TMI warning. Odoured discharge

So about a week ago, I had a very heavy painful menstrual bleed. It stopped after 1 day. Now today, I have a very heavy vaginal discharge of a white short of discharge which smells to the high heavens. It's coming out in sort of lots of clumps of a slimey white sort of discharge from my vagina. The stink is really bad.
What the hell is this? I haven't had a colposcopy or anything recently but the smell is like when I had an infection post colposcopy years ago.
Lower back pain again, but nothing bad.
Could I have an infection somehow?

That sounds really bad, I would make an appointment with a GP.

Sounds like bacterial vaginosis. Definitely worth seeing a doctor

If you recognise the smell as an infection I would treat it as an infection. GP asap.

Of it is a strong yeasty (bread) odour then probably thrush. If fishy BV .

Deff doc. Ring 111 if it doesn't smell like thrush or fish you could be septic within hours. It's not always POSs to find a tampon you lost....

It is a fishy smell. Sorry, I apologise for the grossness. I just can't understand what it can be an infection of.

It smells like an infection I had post colposcopy. But I haven't had any treatment like that in years. But it's a lot of discharge.

Fishy sounds more like an imbalance then a deadly infection but if you feel unwell I'd call the GP ooh

No, haven't had sex in months and had a shower this morning. It's the discharge that appears to stink. I can smell it from sitting down. Going to cry!

BV, I've had it once and it stunk.

The pain is relatively mild back pain and abdominal pain.
