To be saddened that my name makes me a CF?

My initials are C and F. So I frequently receive post that is addressed to Mrs CF Esker. Instead of my own names, these letters now automatically signify 'Cheeky Fucker' to me. Perhaps I should take it upon myself to become a CF and live up to my initials Confused

Thank God for marriage.

servicenotinuse · 16/01/2019 19:47

I can't cope with MN and their CF thing, my son has Cystic Fibrosis and it's known widely as CF so my mind always jumps there especially with threads titled 'Do I have a CF problem...' 😅

If it makes you feel better I have married into a comedy name and the postman actually smirked when he cottoned on.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 16/01/2019 20:00

Dh had a work associate with the initials DF.
He was known as both Dim Fucker and Dark Foreboding. 😄

Korvalscat · 16/01/2019 20:11

I went to school with a Susan D..... She was pleased that her dm had realised what her initials would be and didn't name her Victoria as she had intende, unfortunately for Susan Teresa, VD became outdated and the more usual term ....

The receptionist at my first job had to argue with her dh that however much he liked Penelope as a name for their dd it would inevitably be shortened to Penny and said dd would hate him for being saddled with Penny Gwynne.

My dgreatniece has a double-barrelled first name H-J and for some reason her parents started to call her just by her initials. My then16 yr old dd pointed out that calling your dd a hand job probably wasn't the best idea.

My initials are LH. Hubby and I are having a terrible time trying to conceive. Can’t even get away from Luteneising Hormone.

bumblenbean · 16/01/2019 21:08

My initial is S and husband’s is M. When we were planning our wedding we wanted our initials on the order of service and a couple of other things but couldn’t decide which was worse - ‘M&S’ (Marks anyone?) or ‘S&M’ (just asking for trouble) ...

RoodleNoodle · 16/01/2019 21:15

Friend of mines initials are JCB and her Mum is BJB. If her Mum did something stupid she would always talk to herself " come one now BJ pull yourself together"😂😂

RoodleNoodle · 16/01/2019 21:20

Another friend, Theresa kept her maiden name when she married Steve Wood Grin

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 16/01/2019 21:42

Ah, but remember the most wonderous of CFs, Carrie Fisher.
Not claiming any holy connections, but is it any coincidence that both me and Dhs initials are JC? I think not!

Marmaladesandwiches27 · 16/01/2019 21:52

@servicenotinuse
I have the same situation with my son having CF, it often throws me but I also love that I can read these CF threads and have a moment forgetting that CF doesn't always mean CF (ironically usually while sitting next to my boy doing his nebs) and if we are having a bad day/I'm mad at the world because CF is so unfair, I call CF a CF and sometimes escalate CF to CF cunty fucker Grin
