And I mean proper fun like you can imagine yourself now having a wicked time getting nothing but pure enjoyment and happiness out of?
I can't think of much at all and this year I need to start making time for myself, I love my children and DH but I need something for me that's fun and that will give me a sense of achievement maybe I'm not too sure.
Things I used to love doing , going on a bike ride around Richmond park, splashing around in the sea, I can't think of nothing else!!! I recently took up reading and read the book within 3 days, that was sort of relaxing but not much fun Confused

My husband and I love to hike, cook, listen to music, play the occasional video game, watch movies and enjoy a glass of wine together. We LOVE being home and have little to no interest in pubs, clubs, etc. Been there, done that. We love being together and both feel that we've worked hard for our home, so this is where we want to be. For us, "fun" is contentment.

I haven't had fun for years, stressful work and young kids suck it right out of life - watching with interest.

Hoopaloop · 14/01/2019 20:27

Running
DJing (techno)
Going cross-eyed in warehouses.
Watching Doc Marten.

Kemer2018 · 14/01/2019 20:29

I forgot what fun was in 2006.

stegosauruslady · 14/01/2019 20:31

Running
Video games
Gigs
Dancing
Camping
Family days out
Movie nights and a whiskey

Nanna50 · 14/01/2019 20:33

Me and a friend have been going to boot camp in the park, albeit a gentler one for the middle aged. We feel like kids playing out, cold, rosy cheeks, running about.

DontTouchTheMoustache · 14/01/2019 20:34

Alcohol

loubluee · 14/01/2019 20:34

We go out once a week
Cook with extended family once a week
Cook a ‘new’ recipe once a week
Holiday

Watch box sets
Watch movies

Gym

Ummmm that’s about it!Blush

ewenice · 14/01/2019 20:35

Escape Rooms
Walks
Agricultural shows where we show our sheep

HundredMilesAnHour · 14/01/2019 20:35

I go to the park and feed the squirrels. Watching them just makes me so happy. It's very relaxing!

PumpkinsMum18 · 14/01/2019 20:36

Singing!

I am a member of a local community choir and I love it! 😄

ShinyMe · 14/01/2019 20:37

The most FUN thing I've done in ages was hula hoop lessons. That was bonkers and involved a lot of laughter. The lady stopped doing them though, sadly.

FreshlyWashed · 14/01/2019 20:38

Spending time with people I love and like. Often with alcohol.

Doing activities we all enjoy.

Being silly and giggling.

Being active - walking my dog or going to exercise classes.

Being busy.

SaucyJack · 14/01/2019 20:40

Are we keeping this clean and legal?

Probably camping then. Love watching DP set the tent up whilst sitting in one of my lovely Mountain Warehouse chairs with a cider.

TinDogTavern · 14/01/2019 20:41

I'm learning to tap dance. It's a ridiculous amount of fun.

Imstickingwiththisone · 14/01/2019 20:43

Same here op! Made it my mission this year to do stuff, outdoorsy things where you can have a laugh. Don't know how I'll put it in practice though while I'm skint with no free time to do it.

My ideas though were rock climbing & snowboard lessons so I'm keen to see others that are cheap at least!

Eliza9917 · 14/01/2019 20:43

I lie on my sofa and do fuck all, watch telly & internet on phone Grin

Seriously, I read, swim, walk my dog, watch films or go to the cinema. Go out to eat. Visit family. Go to the pub. That's about it really ATM.

WallisFrizz · 14/01/2019 20:45

I know it’s not purely for me but I love watching my son play his team sport.

Drinking with friends

Lovely meal out with DH

Back to back episodes of excellent tv

Coffee and cake with my lovely mum

Good gym session when I’m in the mood.

Things that I used to love that I don’t do since having dc:
Skiing
Hiking
Lying on a beach with a book
Dancing to my favourite songs towards the end of a great night out.

CaptainHammer · 14/01/2019 20:45

Xbox
Reading
Horse riding
Lego

I find them all very fun and relaxing too

HarrietSchulenberg · 14/01/2019 20:46

Being outside, in any weather that I have the right clothes for. Sea/beach is preferred but up a big hill is good too. Anywhere I can see a vast amount of sky is good, especially if its from a kayak or beach.

I get a kick out of knitting/crocheting simple stuff too. And drawing and painting but I have no skill.

Imstickingwiththisone · 14/01/2019 20:46

Oh another is learning to play the keyboard...we already have one so yay! Waiting for payday to buy the right book, but I've learnt a couple of tunes from YouTube on my phone in the meantime. It's not a laugh but it's enjoyable and I saw improvements quickly and wanted to show off to everyone who visited after (I managed to refrain though 😁)

Bluntness100 · 14/01/2019 20:48

Spend time with friends, usually there is booze involved. We like gigs and weekends away.

Saharafordessert · 14/01/2019 20:49

Horse riding......hands down the best fun ever, my horse is amazing!

Imstickingwiththisone · 14/01/2019 20:51

Actually I'm having the opposite to dry January too and drinking more. I don't usually bother in the house as it's an expense I'm not in the habit of having but we have lots from Xmas and it's nice to unwind and get a bit tipsy.
