I like Daenerys but I’m hoping for Jon Snow to get his happy ever after, and Arya too :)

@Sunflowermuma

The witches prophecy was so specific though.

It was NOT "you will never have children"

It was specific to

“When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before.”

We now have the sun setting in the East

The White Walkers have entered via Eastwatch by the Sea.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 11/01/2019 17:18

Cersei not Cressida.

BartonHollow · 11/01/2019 17:23

Jon and Sansa aren't siblings

No. But Tyrion doesn't currently know that and neither do they so based on what they all believe to be true, that's the current relationship

Google Bran is about to inform them otherwise

That will happen in Episode 1

Jon is royally fucked because finding out he has a lawful claim will permanently change his relationship to Sansa, Dany and Tyrion

What is he then? Ally or threat?

He's still a Stark and still her cousin, but no longer Ned Starks last able bodied son.

UsedtobeFeckless · 11/01/2019 17:29

I'm thinking Tyrion is Mad King Thing's illegitimate son - hence all the Tywin "You're not my son" stuff and the dragons not roasting him alive that time. I think Jaime is going to kill Circe, either Jon or Dany is toast ( probably Jon as l reckon he'll sacrifice himself to protect D and the baby as he's a bit of an idiot like that ) and possibly Arya and Sansa rule the North as a sort of gesalt sister act ...

I'm really looking forward to it and don't much care who ends up on the big uncomfy chair as long as Sam, Gilly, little Sam and Dour Ed survive, Bronn gets his castle and Brienne gets a happy ending with the Hound or Tormund ( totally won't happen as this is GRRworld so everyone dies horribly and hope turns to dust ... ) Roll on April!

FadedRed · 11/01/2019 17:42

Tinklylittlelaugh We were told that Gendry was the byblow of Robert and a random barmaid, BUT, GRRM is not above a bit of baby-swapping and other facilitating shenanigans to confuse the already complicated storyline, is he? Would explain why Gendry is still around the main story characters and not still rowing into the sunset.

CmdrIvanova · 11/01/2019 17:45

Good point FadedRed, he has had a lot of air time considering his role was 'black haired Baratheon bastard'.

I always thought that the witch's prophecy was a bit Macbeth-y, when the forests march on birnam wood, etc. Also, are we allowed to refer to the books in this thread?

Slipperboots · 11/01/2019 17:53

I just want Brienne and Jamie to happen....

UsedtobeFeckless · 11/01/2019 17:57

Jaime is going die! Probably saving everyone from Circe in a weird shadowing of him offing Mad King Thing to stop him torching King's Landing back in the day ... Tormund and Brienne, now there's a thing ... Grin

BartonHollow · 11/01/2019 18:04

I feel almost certain that Jaime will die

Cersei is convinced that she cannot die while Jamie lives and vice versa and that they'll die together

Jaime dying in Brienne's arms is one thing

Jaime murdering Cersei but it turning out to be Arya wearing his face is another

SaucyJack · 11/01/2019 18:05

Jon and Sansa are cousins.

I’m getting less keen are Arya as it goes on. Actually that’s a lie- I’ve never liked her. I’m happy for her to go.

Jaime will kill Cersei, or she will kill him.

BartonHollow · 11/01/2019 18:10

Arya will thrive in the war, but will end up isolated and alone when peace returns

It will end with her as a lone wolf.

Nanny0gg · 11/01/2019 18:13

I want Tyrion Bronn and Sam to survive.

Not much to ask...

shirleyschmidt · 11/01/2019 18:16

I'm SO excited for April!

I think Daenerys will have a baby with Jon and it will rule Westeros.
Jon will die during the Night King conflict
Jaime will kill Cersei and then die
Sansa will rule Winterfell/the North

Not happy with the above though! Really DON'T want Daenerys and Jon together. It's icky and I don't think the actors have romantic chemistry.

Though I prefer Jon, I'd quite like Daenerys to rule. To me it feels like it 'should' be hers, she's wanted it all along.

Finally, I need Jamie to survive, he's my fave! Used to hate his sister-shagging guts 😂

Not sure how I see Tyrion fitting into all this, probably serve as hand to J&D's baby. Though I far preferred Tyrion before he teamed up with Daenerys. Loads more fun.

Really hoping Brienne, Davos and the Hound come out unscathed! Not bothered about Arya.

Shimy · 11/01/2019 18:16

Can anyone explain to me what's going on with Bran? the first episode i watched of GoT saw him peeping through a window. Jaimie and Cersei were together, he was pushed and became lame as a result of it. The rest i don't understand. Has he got special powers to see into the past and future or something? what did he mean when he told his sisters, "I am not Bran". Is he actually dead but a spirit of a bird is living in him? Confused what is his relationship with the bird and the tree?

Worriedwombat2015 · 11/01/2019 18:22

Lyanna Mormont for the Iron Throne!! 😂 or White walkers for the win and everyone dies.

Aside from that, I think Dany may go mad like her dad and maybe Jon will kill her. She's already going a bit that way.

Tormund and Brienne to get together. The hound and Arya reunion to kill the mountain. Jaime to kill Cersei.

BartonHollow · 11/01/2019 18:28

Bran :

Complicated and very woolly

Became paralysed due to Jamie's push

But was having dreams that called him to the Three Eyed Raven

and meant he could also "warg" into his direwolf and become it. Jon can also warg (in the book)

When he got to the 3 Eyed Raven, the Raven was supposed to train him, but died, passing the role on. It's like a seer role. Almost god like I guess, all knowing, all seeing.

He has the body and the memory of Bran Stark, but the mind of the 3 Eyed Raven which now means that the life of "Bran" is now meaningless to him

The old 3 Eyed Raven was a Targaryen bastard a few hundred years old.

Bran will probably go live in a tree when the others die.

agirlhasnonameX · 11/01/2019 18:30

I hope there is no happy ever after for Jon and Dani, so predictable and not GOT at all.
I think one if not both of them will die or Jon will but Dani will be carrying his baby.
Also think Jame will kill Cercei.
I hope Arya and Tyrion survive most but can't see them both living either :,( and have a feeling Tyrion has done something really bad or will.
Gregor or Arya will kill the Mountain.
Azor Ahai?
Have so many thoughts I could go on forever. I caaaaant wait till April.

IdblowJonSnow · 11/01/2019 18:42

Surely it's GOT to be house Stark?! Wanda and/or Arya? Disagree that he's unlikely to go for a happy ending - there have been plenty of triumphs, little finger, joffrey being killed off and Ramsay finally getting his face chewed off by his own dogs - a particular highlight for me! Bored of Dany but don't dislike her ad such. Cersei is horrible but presume we are going to feel more conflicted about her now she's pregnant. Hope Gendry has a decent part to play in this last series. Can't wait! Grin

EwItsAHooman · 11/01/2019 18:49

When the prophecy about suns/mountain, etc was made to Dany she was also told that only death can pay for life. She has three dragons/'children'. One has died. It's possible that this has paid for the life of an actual child/'dragon'. She was told her son would be the stallion who mounts the world and presumed that was her first son when it could actually be referring to a son conceived with Jon. Think she will name him Drogo which will also fulfil the part of the prophecy that says he'll return to her once the other conditions are fulfilled.

Brienne and Tormund need to get together and make lots of gloriously tall, ginger haired babies.

Sansa and Tyrion to find common ground and make their marriage work. As a PP said, he treated her decently and was as trapped by the marriage as she was. I think she will remember that.

Shimy · 11/01/2019 18:54

Barton - Thanks for an excellent explanation. All makes sense now. Just one more question, what was the 3 eyed raven supposed to have trained Bran to do?

UsedtobeFeckless · 11/01/2019 19:04

Be the new 3 eyed raven/all seeing plot device thingie ...

SaucyJack · 11/01/2019 19:04

“I hope there is no happy ever after for Jon and Dani, so predictable and not GOT at all.“

Don’t forget they’re aunt and nephew. It would be extremely GoT for them to walk off into the sunset hand in hand.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 11/01/2019 19:15

Brienne and Tormund will get together.

There'll be acdpin off involving their army of ginger, arse-kicking children.

Not sure I mind who gets the throne. I'd say they kept Gendry alive so he could do something but I thought that about Rickon...

Arya may have to kill Gendry if he butts in .

BartonHollow · 11/01/2019 19:17

@Shimy

The reason it's not very well done/explained is because they ran out of book for Bran and hopefully ALL of that will be explained better in Book 6.

On a more sinister and yet more obvious level, the 3 Eyed Raven lured Bran in knowing he would die

BUT

In order to have foreseen his death he would have seen Bran there so Chicken/Egg

Without the Three Eyed Raven Sam could have pronounced Jon a Targaryen but would he have been believed alone?

3 Eyed Raven also lured Bran because he needed to pass on details needed for End Game?

Something sinister to come mark my words

Effectively Three Eyed Raven if all seeing already knows who needs to win, and can help orchestrate who dies...

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 11/01/2019 19:23

Shimy it trained him to bore everyone else to death.
