To know it's all gone wrong night before 12 week scan?

I've had such a good gut feeling this entire pregnancy. Now my 12 week scan is tomorrow and I feel so numb because I just know the baby's dead. I know it's gone wrong. I can just sense it. All the threads I've read about mmc say that they just knew and that's exactly how I feel. The day before my scan. What a sick joke :( can these feelings ever be wrong? Sorry I know it doesn't belong here but posting for traffic I need answers or I'm going to do nothing other than cry all night. This can't be happening.

Wishing you luck for this morning. Please update us later. I am sure everything is fine and you will be relaxing with a cup of tea and your scan photos by lunch. Xx

I had my first scan at 26 weeks. I’d onlu discovered I was pregnant at 24 weeks. I’d done all the things you shouldn’t do while pregnant before discovering I was expecting.

I’m a single mum and I’ve honestlu never been as terrified as I was sitting in that waiting room waiting to be scanned. I was convinced that my baby would have all sorts of horrible deformities. I was utterly terrrifed and felt sick to my stomach. I just knew I’d harmed my baby.

I almost didn’t believe the sonographer when she told me everything was fine and kept questioning her.

That was 6 years ago and he was absolutely perfect (driving me mad currently!)

Good luck today

Tumbleweed101 · 10/01/2019 07:49

Hope all is well today.

Hormones start settling down around 12 weeks so that might be why you feel different too.

WishUponAStar88 · 10/01/2019 07:50

God in such a flap I just weed without thinking. Do I need a really full bladder for this one? HG is making downing this much a bit difficult..

OP posts:
Karwomannghia · 10/01/2019 08:18

For mine my bladder was told full as I’d been drinking loads of water while waiting. I had to go and release just half my bladder! Now that was difficult!

Mummysharkdoodoodoo · 10/01/2019 08:19

Yes! Full bladder is perfect, but don’t worry too much! What time is your scan? Xx

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 10/01/2019 08:21

Thinking of you op. I had a massive bleed in early pregnancy. DD is currently playing with a toy helicopter. Keeping everything crossed for you XX Flowers

missymoon · 10/01/2019 08:25

Firstbornunicorn · 10/01/2019 08:32

Good luck! I felt like this too, but all was well.

Whatafustercluck · 10/01/2019 08:33

Good luck today op, I remember feeling the same - had an early scan due to bleeding and was convinced my pregnancy symptoms were not strong enough/ diminishing. Ds is now a fit and healthy 8yo now and I went on to have 2yo dd (early scan with her also, due to pain and some bleeding). Everything crossed for you Flowers

thisisnothow · 10/01/2019 08:39

Good luck OPFlowers

Spudlet · 10/01/2019 08:41

Flowers OP, I hope all is well. FWIW, I too was convinced at several points that everything was going to go wrong, to the point that I hardly dared think about actually having a baby with any degree of confidence and felt anxious about painting the nursery or buying a cot! That baby has just turned 3. Anxiety is a bitch.

I also had to have two small wees for my first scan because I took the instructions about a full bladder very seriously and was fit to pop.... times like that are when you find out how much good your pelvic floor exercises have done!

Will be thinking of you this morning Flowers

boomboomshakalack · 10/01/2019 08:46

Such good luck!! I will be thinking of you all morning...Thanks

CliffordDanger · 10/01/2019 09:00

I had horrific anxiety in early pregnancy the first time round and the night before the first scan was unbelievably bad, wave after wave of panic. I convinced myself it had gone wrong. I nearly ran out of the clinic. I went into someone else's appointment by mistake because I'd misheard the name as my mind was going wild. I was shaking. They asked if I wanted to stop and come back another day. I went ahead but wouldn't look at the screen.

Everything was perfect, and he still is (even when he was teething!).

So much good luck to you, sweetness Flowers
