Stub your toe. Stubbed little toe earlier on the table leg. Of course no shoes or slippers on to cushion the blow. Air very quickly turned blue Blush followed by toe turning a lovely shade of bluey/purple. Nice 9 hour shift later and it is bloody agony.

Walking into my mum's barefoot in the summer & treading on the metal dog brush!!who the hell leaves a dog brush on the floor anyway...went in right up to the wooden handle, had to be cut out at hospital with 17 stitches oh a little tetanus jab to add to the injury...oh i hate that bloody dog aswell😂

icanbewhatiwant · 10/01/2019 21:33

I read a lot of these earlier and thought how painful. Just after reading them I picked up a log to put on the fire and got stung by a hibernating queen wasp. Ok nowhere near as painful as a lot of the above...but it still hurt.

biscuitbrown · 10/01/2019 21:34

No, no, no, the most painful thing you can ever do (and I’ve had an emergency c-section so consider myself nails) is FRAXEL LASER! I had awful chloasma from pregnancy - it got rid of it, but oh my god it was like torture.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/01/2019 21:37

lurker

That is the most horrific thing I have ever seen - must have knocked you sick.

I'd forgotten this (DH just reminded me), but my most painful thing (even more than the budgie) was sneezing and dislocating my hip.

(You couldn't make it up!)

arranbubonicplague · 10/01/2019 21:42

Electric sewing machine needle through your thumb-it hurts more taking it out!

Ooh - flashback to seeing a fisherman dither about which was would be best to remove a spectacularly barbed fish hook from his hand.

Nats1606 · 10/01/2019 21:45

Nerve pain in a certain spot in my groin after 3rd csection, it would strike randomly and feel like my wound was ripping open. I couldn’t move or speak when it hit. Just excruciating.

MyBreadIsEggy · 10/01/2019 21:45

I’m quite heavily tattooed, so I’m accustomed to a bit of discomfort.
I took the plunge and got a beautiful freehand piece tattooed on my stomach (pre-babies!), and it was the single most painful experience of my life.
Two totally unmedicated births were less painful.
I cried.
I dropped with sweat.
I vomited.
Not an experience to be repeated.

Nats1606 · 10/01/2019 21:46

Stung between the toes by a bee

Littlenic73 · 10/01/2019 21:47

Know that pain of standing on the bed and sliding off to land on upturned plug barefoot. I think I may have blanked from y mind anything truly painful though.

Gustawind · 10/01/2019 21:54

I’m going to one up y’all with a Caesarian in which the epidural didn’t work.

HaveAnotherCuppa · 10/01/2019 21:55

Slipped off a bike once and whacked my bits on the cross bar.
Most painful thing I've EVER done.

BippityBoppity87 · 10/01/2019 22:00

Putting the whole weight of your body onto the second to smallest toe with the chair. Yes I did this, stupidly, when I was younger and I still have the scar. Finger being slammed in a til.

Myheartbelongsto · 10/01/2019 22:01

Having a Doctor manually open my cervix with her fingers while they midwives held my legs in stirrups while I was in labour and a half a cm just wouldn't budge.

I have never felt pain like it and will never, ever forget it.

I grabbed that Doctors finger and told her I'd kill her when I was feeling better and I meant it!

PeachyPeachTrees · 10/01/2019 22:06

I accidentally banged my funny bone really hard on bedside table. I woke up fast sitting bolt upright and vomiting because of the shocking pain.

Dropping heavy dressmakers shears point down onto the top of my foot. (only socks on)

Splinter all the way down my fingernail, nearly fainted. Showed it to DH, he nearly fainted.

I just count myself lucky I haven't ever had my toenail kicked off by my dance partner. (still feeling queasy)

feska5 · 10/01/2019 22:07

Having told people forever to be careful about doing this - I rubbed chilli into my eye yesterday - an actual chilli seed. The pain!!!

BippityBoppity87 · 10/01/2019 22:13

If I was going by longest duration of pain, as in days, it would probably be;

Exposed nerve in my tooth from a botched root canal after an abscess.

A torn ligament in the knee

Back to back labour

nyu82 · 10/01/2019 22:40

The first terrible pain I ever felt was when my brother accidentally closed the car door on my fingers..they were crushed for about 5 seconds but it felt like a day...then , because I didn’t want to get my brother into any trouble , I just ran upstairs to the bathroom and somehow managed to turn the cold tap on, thinking that running cold water on my fingers would numb the pain....DID NOT HAPPEN ...made me scream !!
Ended up in A&E having the needle in the nail torture...second screaming session.
Have had 2 children, no hassle !
Gallstones ..Stratospheric pain level especially when the GP pressed hard into my back ‘just to check’..

baldisbeautiful · 10/01/2019 22:49

Years ago on honeymoon, joined in a silly bar game in the hotel bar to try and win a free meal for two. In pairs, one (me) had to lie down holding a balloon on chest, other one (dh) has to burst balloon but not using hands. He launched himself at me landing squarely on my chest and head butted me. (he weighed about 15 stone then), blood pouring from my nose and he ripped a mole off that was just above my top lip. We won. Couldn't eat at our free meal as face hurt too much. 22 years later, still not forgiven him but the mole grew back Hmm

AppleDump · 10/01/2019 23:03

Having a liver transplant was pretty much the worst pain after a DVT. Especially trying to get up out of bed once I was home and settled.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 10/01/2019 23:03

I once had horrible trapped wind. I've never felt anything like it. I was in so much pain that I had a really hot hot water bottle clutched to my stomach and I didn't notice that there was a gap in the cover and it burned me. I had a huge blister and I still have a scar.

Betsy86 · 10/01/2019 23:05

lurker omg how did you get that out Shock dont tell me as iv already fainted imagining it

Winduptorch · 10/01/2019 23:21

Getting my tongue stuck to the ice in a freezer ( was only about 7). My mum drove over my toes twice! . Pushing the kids really fast on a roundabout and trying to jump on, thought I had ripped off my nipple as I fell off. And another gallstones one, was told for 7 years it was indigestion, the pain would last at least 8 hours each time I had an attack, finally dr listened to me and scan revealed loads of stones, nurse told me on the day of surgery that people went to hospital for the pain, so whilst they got morphine I was sucking on gaviston! After 5 births ( 2 without any pain relief) I would give birth every day than have that again

manicmij · 10/01/2019 23:36

Walking home late at night in dark deciding to take a short cut over a grassy area and kicking a brick landing on face in gravel. Broken second toe and face glued together after A&E scrubbed all the grit out of wounds. Sure they used a steel scouring pad. L esson learned - take a torch in bag.

frufru27 · 10/01/2019 23:36

Trying to put a hole through a conker with a scissor blade...it inevitably slipped off the round shiny conker straight through my thum 😖...stubbed toe is up there though!!

lashy · 10/01/2019 23:39

Brother (then 8), fell backwards off a bunk bed, crashed against the front of a chest of drawers, smashing one of the handles off to reveal the screw [which had held the handle on], the pointed end of which tore a 1cm deep, 3" long gash into his back.

Husband's mac book slipped out of it's cover and fell, corner first, onto his bare big toe, splitting his toe nail in half. Lots of blood and blue air.
