Subject line sounds more depressing than it's supposed to - I'm not suicidal, just often wonder 'what the hell is the point of all this [life]?!'. I admit I'm not exactly the most happy go lucky person - if I was constantly laughing my socks off I guess I wouldn't question it. But even though I'm basically happy and very fortunate (no complaints about health, family, work etc) I do struggle to find a logical reason to live.

So I'm wondering, what do other people find gives meaning to life and makes it all worthwhile?

My child. The only thing that kept me alive after miscarrying last year.

A few things
My son. He will never be independent so needs me to be around as long as possible to care of him and then advocate for him. I also understand him better than anyone else does.
My stillborn child. There was a time after he was born when I didn't want to go on living but eventually I decided that I had to go on living my life because he never had that chance. In my worst moments I can feel him with me.
My dh. We need each other.
Nature. The seasons. The sea. Mountains. Being in beautiful places.
