I can't even bear to think about it.

Me too.

peachypetite · 01/01/2019 13:56

Have you looked for new jobs?

19lottie82 · 01/01/2019 13:57

I’m in Scotland so we get the 2nd off too! Sorry not helpful for me to gloat Grin

GaryBaldbiscuit · 01/01/2019 13:58

no, i am dreading it

PoutySprout · 01/01/2019 13:58

I was in yesterday. 🤷🏻‍♀️

RavenLG · 01/01/2019 13:59

I’m not back until 7th but I’m already having anxiety dreams about it (but I know once I’ve had a few days back I’ll be fine).

Redgreencoverplant · 01/01/2019 14:00

I was you last year but I switched jobs in September. I don't go back to the 7th but I will be perfectly happy when I do. Perhaps make looking for a new job a target for 2019?

LoubyLou1234 · 01/01/2019 14:02

Nope I work as normal the Christmas season so it's not much different to normal but i do always book next week off! It's bliss- no Christmas presents to buy/wrap, people to visit etc lovely chilled week off.

rosamacrose · 01/01/2019 14:05

Dreading it.
I can't even face getting up and I haven't hidden stayed in bed like this since teenage Shock
(Made me realise I need to make changes)

needmorespace · 01/01/2019 14:07

I'm dreading it and I love my job - I just love being at home and visiting family etc more Smile

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 01/01/2019 14:10

Starting to wake in the mornings with a feeling of anxiety and I’m not back till the 7th! Last year was horrendous and took over my entire life, leaving isn’t an option at the moment though sob Just need to find a way to get through it without getting so stressed.

PumpkinPie2016 · 01/01/2019 14:11

I go back on the 7th and have mixed feelings. I love my job but certain things at the place I am at have made the last couple of months quite difficult at times.

I have some new ideas/projects to work on though so I am hoping that I will feel better in the coming months.

frankie001 · 01/01/2019 20:24

I’m now in a bath, trying to ignore the anxiety. May pop a propanalol to take edge off

LFH1990 · 01/01/2019 20:42

Totally dreading it! I know it will be fine by 9.05 though! And at least it’s Wednesday!

RoboticSealpup · 01/01/2019 20:47

Me too. I'm certainly not one of those happy people who "go to work for their own sanity". Work is the biggest threat to my sanity! Wink

secondarymincepie · 01/01/2019 20:49

Yep. The 'back to school' feeling has kicked in, I've got my packed lunch ready in the fridge and my work clothes laid out ready. I'd rather spend another week on the sofa eating quality street.

peachypetite · 01/01/2019 20:49

At least it's a short week.

MakeAHouseAHome · 01/01/2019 20:50

Dreading it :-( to the point it is making me upset and anxious and I was even dreading going back part way through Christmas.

Bee91 · 01/01/2019 20:50

I've been on maternity leave since February and go back on the 11th SadSad

Pachyderm1 · 01/01/2019 20:51

Another Scot here. It’s very unreasonable that you lot down south don’t get the 2nd off too!

AnnaMariaDreams · 01/01/2019 20:51

YANBU
I’m really fed up and anxious. I find my job really stressful. I’m starting a new role 1 day a week soon which will be interesting but I’m nervous.
DS (6) has been in tears about Christmas being over. He’s just really enjoyed hanging out with us not doing much for 2 weeks. My baby Sad

hendal · 01/01/2019 20:53

I’m on leave until the 7th, dreading going back. Feel sick about it.
Am looking for another job, as life is too short to feel sick and rotten about going back to work.

ThePinkOcelot · 01/01/2019 20:53

I don’t want to go either. Dreading it!

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 01/01/2019 20:57

I don't go back till the 8th, and am already dreading it. I normally love my job but the last few months have been extra stressful, which is a whole other thread. Saying that, I know I'll be ok once I'm there, it's just lovely to be at home, with DD and for once DH off right through with us. He's normally back sooner, or away, or on call......

Gillian1980 · 01/01/2019 21:01

I like my job 99% of the time but I’m dreading going back in the 7th.... is much rather be lazy at home for a couple more weeks.
