Marriage certificate

Not really aibu but need posting for traffic.

Threw my marriage certificate away by mistake, paid £23.40 via the gov website for a replacement so we can apply for our mortgage and they have sent us a photocopy....

Is this right? How can I get a photo copy verified?

£23.40 for a photocopy!!

Aibu to expect an actual certificate?

IAmRubbish I think the OP must be confusing you with someone else and thought the apology comment was aimed at him/her because I can't see a problem with what you've posted. Anyway glad it's sorted OP, I've learnt a lot about getting copies of official certificates which may come in useful one day. (I'm always telling DH how educational MN is but somehow he doesn't believe me.)
