Oh and one of those snack trays with pretzels and bits in.

Escapenextyear · 01/01/2019 15:05

my cheese has started to go a bit funny - so i''ve had to bin some today.
I was enjoying my daily cheese and cracker fix in this 'guilt free' period Blush

onlyhereforthefood · 01/01/2019 15:13

Some cheese
2 tubes pringles, tub of cheeselets and tub of twiglets
Bottle of red, bottle of white
Tub celebrations
Full box mince pies, shortbread and cookies
Bag lebkuchen
3 x stollen small loaves
1/2 a selection box
Box toblerone tinies
Chocolate coins
Box of Haribo
Box of m&s choc truffles
Various other chocolate bits

We basically forgot we bought any treats and only found them today! No New Year diet in this house!

onlyhereforthefood · 01/01/2019 15:14

Also a christmas pudding MIL left
Turkey in the freezer
Some veg/potatoes
Loads of part baked bread
Half a box of crackers
2 boxes after eights.

LuluJakey1 · 01/01/2019 15:24

A home-made potatoes dauphinoise that is in the freezer, along with a homemade spinach macaroni and cheese pie. I made a large quiche which we are having tonight with oven chips and salad. That's it. Back to normal! Oh and a carton of coffee ice cream that DH and I will have 'cos the DCs don't like it.
We didn't buy any chocolate or crisps apart from the ones we used on Christmas day. I am feeling virtuous. Nothing thrown out except a tub of cottage cheese and prawns that went past its sell-by date.

RussellSprout · 01/01/2019 15:29

A prawn ring (will be useful for when I start my low carb diet)
Various bits of cheese
A tin of biscuits
A salmon wellington (frozen)
Various packs of nuts again can use when low carbing
Hubby has turned the brandy cream into a sort of ice cream

WontonSoupForTheSoul · 01/01/2019 15:44

We weren’t at home for Christmas so I didn’t buy in any additional food, herb ir seems to have infiltrated somehow.

We have-
A tube of Sour Cream and Onion Pringles
A Christmas pudding (think it may be from 2017)
A tub of brandy butter
A tub of Bailey’s whipped cream
A Hotel Chocolat hamper
Custard
An M&S melt in the middle salted caramel pudding thing (reduced from €15 to €4 due to short date so haaaad to buy it)

listsandbudgets · 01/01/2019 16:57

Loads and loads mainly because we went away for 3 days from 27th. we took some with us but even so.

Several portions of cooked ham and turkey in freezer
Half a cake
2 packs of pringles (no idea how they survived)
a packet of smoked salmon
Plenty of cheese
cheese biscuits

veganbrownie · 01/01/2019 17:02

We're on holiday. Well-meaning friends brought mince pies so we have those here. At home in freezer we have
2 xmas cakes (DH made one, MIL the other)
Standby curry (sounds ridiculous, but a few years ago cooker blew up on Xmas Eve so a Xmas ritual now is going to Brick Lane to buy some curries - just in case)
'Xmas' beigels (blame Brick Lane)

mumonashoestring · 01/01/2019 17:07

There are a few slices of roast beef in the fridge, clementines, and about half a Chistmas cake in the kitchen - we spent Christmas at my parents' so managed to get most of the Christmas leftovers eaten in the couple of days afterwards and left them with all the cheese. We'd have less cake and would probably have bought more in for New Years if DH hadn't been ill the last few days Grin

Thewindsofchange · 01/01/2019 17:37

A whole christmas cake
2 mini xmas puddings and 1/4 of a large one
Brandy butter, cream and sauce
Almost 2 packs of mince pies.
Just over 1 pack of stollen bites
About 4 packs of xmas cheese
Special xmas chuckney
Xmas dinner leftovers
4 boxes of chocolates
Various other chocolates and snacks

Hmm, rather a lot still.

Thewindsofchange · 01/01/2019 17:40

Oh yes and lots of Xmas booze...

listsandbudgets · 01/01/2019 17:48

Oh just found 2 christmas puddings and a couple of packs of mince pies. Looks like the new years diet will have to wait until February at this rate

PigletJohn · 01/01/2019 18:31

still have some of the Boxing Day beef in the fridge. I think it will have to go in a casserole tonight, even if it gets eaten tomorrow.

And some shop-bought turkey gravy that will go into tonight's casserole (still in date).

6triesbuttingout · 01/01/2019 18:53

We don’t have much left !!! I cooked batches of cheese scones for both my brothers and we have eaten them. Will be back in the kitchen tomorrow

Thewindsofchange · 01/01/2019 18:53

Just found some more I need to add to mine...

2 packs of lebkucken
Half a tub of pâté
Jar of pickled onions
3 packs of part baked bread
2 jars of mincemeat (never did make mince pies)
90% of a jar of cranberry sauce
More cheese than I thought
More chocs from under the tree.

All will get eaten or kept so no waste but at this rate the diet won't start until easter!!

ShatnersWig · 01/01/2019 18:58

Three boxes of orange and lemon slices
Three boxes of After 8s
One tub of Pringles, one bag of Sensations and one bag of Tyrells
One bag of marshmallows
Half a tub of personalised Quality Street
Two bags of hazlenuts
Half a tub of peanuts
20 cans of diet Coke
3 bottles of wine
Half a side of salmon (now in freezer)
Two untouched cheeses and three half eaten cheeses

And I live on my own!

SealSong · 01/01/2019 19:11

I got given loads of edible gifts such as tins of biscuits, chocolate and fruit cake, which I am going to have to give away cos I am back on the diet again. I will have plenty of willing takers at work, but I feel ever so guilty giving it away because they were presents. But if I keep it I know I will eat it.

autumnnightsaredrawingin · 01/01/2019 19:15

I took a Christmas pudding we didn’t eat plus two packets of mince pies and a box of unopened chocolates to the food bank- hopefully someone will have a nice treat and we don’t need them!

I do have one pack of devils on horseback left which I will use and a pot of brandy butter which will sadly be binned.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/01/2019 19:18

Sainsburys Nut Roast and an Aldi Nut Roast (in freezer, I bought a variety Grin )

Mince pies (in packs, we ate the Sainsbury bakery ones the day I bought them)

Jar of Lindt chocolate sweets

Ginger beer

OutragedERIC · 01/01/2019 19:25

Not much out of the stuff I bought- had the last beef joint today, along with a Xmas chocolate puddingy thing. Half a pandoro, one pack of mince pies and some crisps left.

Quite a bit of things bought though- chocolates, cake, biscuits etc

fourquenelles · 01/01/2019 20:11

All the coconut ones from the quality street tub
5 satsumas
half a jar of cocktail cherries
whole jar of cranberry sauce
whole tub of brandy butter (every year - when will I learn?)
unopened bottle of mead
unopened bottle of Merlot
unopened prosecco
Christmas pudding (best before date March 2020 so that's next year sorted)
some blue cheese and
some mince pie flavoured cheese (why? Dear God why?)

All will be consumed (except Christmas pudding) in the next few weeks.

fanofleetwoodmac · 01/01/2019 20:14

We only bought what we needed apart from the quantity of cheese which we finished today. I don't think I've ever felt over cheese before Envy

Equimum · 01/01/2019 20:44

We still have:
2 x Unopened boxes of biscuits
3 x Unopened boxes of chocolates
All the chocolates we were personally given as gifts
Few gingerbread biscuits
Christmas pudding
Unopened brandy cream
Cheese!
Stuffing balls & nut roast (freezer)
4 mince pies
Bag of pistachios
Few nuts in shells
Crisps
Lots of savoury crackers.

We we’re supposed to have two sets of relative visiting overnight over the festive period, but both cancelled, and we had already been shopping! Luckily, we are having a birthday party for our son next week, so chipotles and biscuits can be offered round the parents!

recklessruby · 01/01/2019 21:20

We have nothing left except some beer my ds bought the other night.
Since he moved back home (he s a big lad, age 30 and over 6 foot) we never have any waste Smile. When it was just dd and me we always had food waste!
