Lots of cheese and chutneys, Christmas cake, Christmas pudding, mince pies, a tub and a half of chocolates, not much else specifically for Christmas I don't think. Slightly hungover today so I'll be making a dent in some of it whilst waiting for our roast duck dinner 😍

Getoffthetableplease · 01/01/2019 12:32

An unopened christmas pudding and carton of custard that my mum wanted us to bring over but then didn't need. Some of you have sooo much! Send it this way please, if we weren't over at a friend's for dinner later it'd be a shared tin of soup from a near empty cupboard here!!

greenpop21 · 01/01/2019 12:32

A few chocolates left. Don't buy more than we need. The choices were presents.
Used all the cheese in a pasta bake which was amazing given all the different flavour cheeses I melted into the sauce.
Turkey all gone into curry and sandwiches and salads.
Decs down.
Hello new year!

greenpop21 · 01/01/2019 12:33

chocs not choices

JaceLancs · 01/01/2019 12:33

Box of chocolates
Some chicken
Half a gammon joint
Lots of spirits

greenpop21 · 01/01/2019 12:34

Oh lots of booze! But that keeps.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 01/01/2019 12:39

Lots of tubs of chocolates, large toblerone, chocolate oranges ect crisps and dips, mince pies and some drinks. I'm doing a new years dinner today so will have lamb, pork and gammon left to snack on for the rest of the week😁

JingsMahBucket · 01/01/2019 12:51

Nada, really. We went away for the holidays and just returned home yesterday. I was just nibbling on a bit Spanish ham I bought while on vacation but that’s it. We went to three different cities so didn’t want to lug too much around. Our fridge is relatively bare and I’ve got a soup going right now for us to eat throughout the day.

feelingverylazytoday · 01/01/2019 12:51

None, all our Christmas food was finished by the day after boxing day, then it was back to normal eating. I don't even buy most of the things on this thread. There was only 4 of us on Christmas day and now my kids are adults I don't have to buy tons of sweets or anything like that.

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 01/01/2019 12:54

I tube pringles
I individual Xmas pudding
2 frozen deserts (chocolate cake and raspberry meringues)
2 boxes matchmakers
1 box after eights
1 box Turkish delight
1 box mint chocolate
1 tin shortbread unopened
2 tins mixed chocolate buisuits both about half full
Don’t drink so no extra booze bought but have half a pack of Fanta orange left, 2 tins of iron brew and 2 tins of pink lemonade. The last of the coke went last night.
Small bit of cheese left and crackers.
Last of the turkey was fed to my cats last night.

I also have enough left overs in the freezer until the weekend so all I will need to buy this week is milk and bread.
Today we are having beef from the freezer and I will use up the last of the fresh veg and potatoes. I have a bag of frozen yorkies I will do as well.
Nothing goes to waste.

manicinsomniac · 01/01/2019 12:55

Just made the most sexual mac and cheese

Best autocorrect ever. Grin Grin

I don't have anything.

We were away Christmas Day and Boxing Day so I didn't need to buy anything except my contributions.
And nobody would ever bother buying me anything edible because I'm a nightmare with food.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 01/01/2019 12:59

A wedge of Christmas cake
2 mince pies (not for much longer though!)
Box of Maltesers
A packet of biscuits - part of a gift
3 Ferrero Rocher
A chocolate orange (also not for longer Grin)
A box of cheese
Fancy bread which we'll have for lunch with said cheese
A portion of a chocolate tart

Just threw out the remains of Christmas dinner (in our defence we were away between Christmas and New Year and my sister who was dog sitting didn't eat as much of it as I'd hoped!). I nearly wept at the waste.

TheBaltictriangle · 01/01/2019 13:03

Anything you don't want like unopened boxes of chocolates and cakes etc donate to the food bank rather than throw away. My friend binned a black bag full of biscuits, chocolates etc because she started her diet today. She could have donated it to the food bank, so wasteful

Tub of roses unopened - a gift
Half a tub of both quality street & celebrations
Small amount of goats cheese & borsin
Small block of Red Leicester
A portion of stir fry sprouts that will be used with dinner this evening
A pack of part baked loaves
A bottle of Prosecco
Half a bottle of Plymouth Gin

It was only me and DS(18) this year and he only had Xmas day & New Year's Day off work so didn't go overboard, for Xmas day I bought a small 2 bird stuffed joint so there wasn't mounds of turkey left as in previous years.

Rockbird · 01/01/2019 13:24

Not a lot. Two boxes of Family Circle but I only buy those for the Happy Faces. And a bag of mini toblerones which are going to a good home later today. We don't host though so didn't have lots of food in anyway.

TrueFriendsStabYouInTheFront · 01/01/2019 13:37

Nearly a whole box of milk tray
A box of Jaffa cakes
A big bottle of gin
Bottle of Prosecco
A kids selection box unopened
Nearly a full tub of heroes
A big bag of Tyrell's
Box of oat and raisin biscuits
A load of Santa lollies
Several bags of various nuts
About 8 rows of a ginormous dairy milk

JingsMahBucket · 01/01/2019 13:43

@manicinsomniac I thought that was the best deliberate description of mac and cheese ever!

plominoagain · 01/01/2019 14:35

Not much . We mainly have veg as DH and DS both get a massive Christmas box full of fruit and veg from work , so today I'm going to be filling up the freezer

SinglePringle · 01/01/2019 14:57

None. I only really bought some cheese and I slung out what was left of that on the 28th. I was given a couple of boxes of chocolates and they gone to the food bank.

Thesearmsofmine · 01/01/2019 15:00

I have a bit leftover. A box of biscuits, a tin of biscuits, a couple of those cylinders of cheddars and cheeselets, crackers and cheese and some frozen party food. I’m doing a buffet style dinner tonight to clear most of it.
