To want a Dyson Airwrap

My hair is hideously straight. Poker straight. Not-in-a-good-way straight. Just sodding straight.

I have, over the years, spent much money on heated rollers. I've tried blow-drying with a big metal brush. I've tried every effing thing to get a bit of bounce into my stupid straight hair. My current curling device is Remington straighteners - it's fine for about 25 minutes (so long as there isn't a scrap of moisture in the air) but my hair is snapping off at the ends. It's long - or was, until it started snapping off. FML.

I covet the Dyson Airwrap. I could afford it if I gave up eating for several months, and cut back on several other things. But is it worth it?

My hair is a medium texture and naturally wavy. The curls were annoying to do I just never got the hang of it. I did however love the round brush as it gave my fringe and front layers gorgeous salon style Bounce but it’s not worth that much for one attachment. Luckily I bought from qvc and was able to return it. I bought the revlon one step dryer and volumiser instead which is fabulous!!

I never got any tracking details with QVC? It just said it has been dispatched?

Ignore me, just saw that I do have tracking details in an email I got this morning.

It's meant to be coming today!! I'm at work, hoping someone will be in all day.

Arrived this morning! Although found it dumped at the side gate at work. The packaging is quite clear what's inside so I suppose I should just be lucky I found it!!!

I ordered on Thursday morning, so I'm a bit annoyed that it's taking so long. I called QVC back as requested and the woman was quite brusque with me, saying that it's "quite common" and to check the tracker again after 9am. Well, it's STILL not working and I can't get through the live chat on this cheap-looking courier website.

The tracker keeps saying that my details are wrong but that's not true.

That courier website is awful @amusedbush !! Don't think I've ever seen a site where you just enter your postcode and it gives info. I'm wondering if someone else had ordered with a similar postcode so it's duplicated and freaked out?

@BifsWif ordered on Friday afternoon and arrived today. Was expecting a much longer wait, QVC delivery isn't the best!

Ahhh I ordered on Friday too!! Fingers crossed I get home to a lovely surprise. Fingers even more crossed that I get home before my husband!

That bullshit courier company are still saying on the live chat that they don't have a parcel for me but a lovely QVC woman tracked it and it will be delivered today. I'm so excited

Roll on home time so we can get our swishy preen on.

Mentioned I'd bought one to MIL last night and she said "oh I've had one for ages!". Wish she'd said so I could have tried it before forking out.

i hope the dyson factory is working overtime! - I've been waiting for the complete set to restock since Christmas eve!

Keep an eye on QVC stopwoofing, they had stock of the full set from the beginning of January but it’s just gone out of stock again.

Love mine still. My hair is so shiny, I'm blonde and shine is something I've never had at the same time as volume so this is a huge difference for me.

I've been using the smoothing brush attachment most of all. I've been able to lift and dry the roots then smooth all the way down and it's really great. Haven't done a full head of curls yet, I'm getting such great results with the two brushes that I haven't felt the need.

I'm really regretting not getting the complete though. I like looser curls/waves and think the larger attachments might have been more my style. Oh well. C'est la vie.

The box is a lot smaller than I expected, I'm impressed. The handle isn't too heavy either so hopefully my arms won't get tired.

I ordered on Thursday morning. Their shipping does seem quite slow compared with competitors but I can't really complain as nobody else offers easy pay instalments.

The Boots one is showing as out of stock now, I get an error message when I try to add it to my basket (I was doing it out of interest, to see how many points I'd get )

I've ordered a Babyliss big hair but actually this isn't really what I need if I want wavy hair is it?

Oh fuck, I can't get the dyson out of my head. I'm so crap at waiting for stuff, it's always that instant gratification.

I can't afford it, I'm just going to have to learn how to use the curlers I have and get it later in the year. I'm sulking. 😄

It's here. Just got home from work. I'm a bit scared to try it incase I don't like it.

I am going to try it on my girls first. I figure it will be easier to use it on someone else's hair whilst I get to grips with it.

Ok, gave it a play.

It made beautiful curls on one DD. It took some playing to get it right, realise at first that I wasn't holding it upright enough and that I need to release the hair by gently pulling the tong thing straight down, instead of the side. It wasn't amazing but I can see it can make beautiful curls with practice.

Straightened my other DD's hair. Her hair looks very silky and smooth. She wouldn't let me us the volume brush because she likes her hair as flat as possible it seems.

They both have fine hair. Mine is crazy thick so we will see how it works with my hair.

So far, very impressed.
