Why the the leavers so scared of a second vote?

StrumALum · 16/12/2018 15:27

I don't get it.

The leavers were fed some lies, that much is obvious.

What I don't get though is that if the leavers are so sure of themselves then why are they so worried about a second vote? If it's 'the will of the people' then it will be the same outcome anyway.

Or are they panicking because now the lies (like the bus) have been exposed, people are now more clued up and they were relying on people not being clued up to get the vote through in the first place?

Sigh.

If you vote in a general election you get to vote again a few years later. May called a second election two years after the previous one.

Did you consider that 'undemocratic', notreallyhappy? Nope, thought not.

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 17:46

Why are you happy about the idea of No Deal, winterfell? What are the positives for you?

WinterfellWench · 18/12/2018 17:48

What makes me laugh is how Remainers claim they 'hate' leave voters and will 'never forgive' leave voters for Brexit - and us leaving the EU.

How about they turn their vitriol and hate towards the people who didn't vote. Like around HALF of people under 30. THEY are the ones to blame for BREXIT my dears, not the leave voters!!! Can you not get that into your fluffy heads?!

It is laughable that the generation who are crying and moaning the most, (and the loudest!) are the ones who had the biggest % of no-shows!!! As for insulting the Brexiters by calling them thick and bigoted and uneducated... that is getting old now. It's not true, and you look pretty stupid and bitter coming out with that EVERY FUCKING TIME.

I have a degree, and a masters, and am on probably 3 times more money than most of the numpties coming out with this shit.Wink

No deal Brexit? Bring it on. The EU can fuck off.

Helmetbymidnight · 18/12/2018 17:50

Eh, of course leave voters are far more to blame. I can’t believe you’re seriously trying to argue they’re not.

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 17:51

Oh. So...are you saying Brexit isn't the will of the people after all, then?

Helmetbymidnight · 18/12/2018 17:51

I dunno what she’s saying. Confused

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 17:52

I have a degree, and a masters, and am on probably 3 times more money than most of the numpties coming out with this shit

Oh, honey. Now I'm just a little bit embarrassed for you.

WinterfellWench · 18/12/2018 17:54

LOL at how people turn things around to say what they want to hear. And make out they're talking shit, coz they don't like what they are hearing!

THE RESULT IS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE WHO COULD BE ARSED TO VOTE.

As for the people who did not vote, their opinion is irrelevant, and they can fuck off.

Enough of an explanation for you hunnies?

Winterfellwench · 18/12/2018 17:55

Oh @unnecessaryfennel honey - I am embarrassed for you too sweetie lovey duckie

WinterfellWench · 18/12/2018 17:57

Have I hit a fee raw nerves poppet, sweetie, possum, duckie, flower??? Sad

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 17:57

Enough of an explanation for you hunnies?

Not sure I'd call it an explanation as such, tbh. But hey ho.

Anyway, what are you most looking forward to about a No Deal Brexit winterfell?

WinterfellWench · 18/12/2018 17:59

@unnecessaryfennel

You're not going to get a second referendum sweetie lollypopsicle.

And we will be going with NO DEAL (hopefully!)

Sorry chicken flavour toodle pops.

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 18:00

And what are you most looking forward to about a No Deal Brexit, winterfell?

WinterfellWench · 18/12/2018 18:04

@unnecessaryfennel

Anyway, what are you most looking forward to about a No Deal Brexit winterfell?

EVERYTHING.

Mostly though......

Cutting off the controlling bullies who call themselves the EU.

If they hadn't been such passive-aggressive, controlling, aggressive bullies in the first place, NONE of this would have happened.

It has though, so out we go. With NO DEAL.

Relax hunnie, we will be fine.

And you can do a degree too if you like. (And a masters.)

Want me to PM you with the details of how to apply? You too can earn as much as me, maybe within 15-20 years if you work hard. Then you won't have your bitterness and jealousy make you spout spiteful comments.

JacquesHammer · 18/12/2018 18:04

I have a degree, and a masters, and am on probably 3 times more money than most of the numpties coming out with this shit

Cool story.....

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/12/2018 18:06

And you can do a degree too if you like. (And a masters).

Oh, bless you. That's very generous Smile

What's your Masters in, out of interest?

MattFreisCheekyDimples · 18/12/2018 18:16

Well then I wasn’t bloody talking to you was I? Duh!

You said 'the left and remain', augusta. If you weren't talking to me, then you've just exactly proved my point about the logical weakness of bland generalisations. (Duh!)

MattFreisCheekyDimples · 18/12/2018 18:21

Anyone who's looking forward to a no deal brexit (or any kind of brexit actually), or is thinking about voting Leave in any forthcoming referendum, might enjoy reading this, which imho is an excellent road map for the months and years ahead: news.liverpool.ac.uk/2018/12/13/full-speech-sir-ivan-rogers-on-brexit/

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 18/12/2018 18:25

winter

As i posted earlier younger voters voted at a rate of 64%

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 18/12/2018 18:26

So over half and on a par with with voters from 24 to about 50

I would have to check that for definite

sockunicorn · 18/12/2018 18:41

i dont think theyre scared i just think they see it as unfair because its already been done once and it went their way

MyOtherProfile · 18/12/2018 19:07

I can't believe anyone would rather go for no deal than a second vote.

www.bma.org.uk/news/2018/august/no-deal-would-be-catastrophic

MagnificentSevenHeaven · 18/12/2018 19:14

leave voters are far more to blame

Actually, I'd blame the shit shower of politicians that have systematically failed to do anything significant in the past 2 years.

It's their responsibility to action the results of the vote as best they can for the good of the country - and they haven't.

But in 2 years they'll be clamouring for your vote - and you'll give it to them!

Bluntness100 · 18/12/2018 19:29

Gosh. This deteriorarated fast.

Anyways, I doubt parliament will let us crash out with no deal. All the arguing right now is about playing the political game.

YoungLennyGodber · 18/12/2018 19:35

I do think it’s true to say that folks who didn’t vote have no reason to complain. It’s a shame the turnout wasn’t higher.
