Just thought I would put a silly thread together based on problems we face.

I realised one first world problem I had today!

I was in the supermarket cafe and wanted to surf the internet on my phone, I then realised my phone had connected to the supermarket WiFi and it wouldn’t allow me to open any web pages up, so I had to turn off my WiFi and use my data, I then forget to turn my WiFi back on and then use up all my data!!

Anyone else got any first world problems?

Brexshit is really going to fuck me over. Our piano teacher, swimming teacher, gardener and architect are all going to get deported. Who the fuck's going to look after my children now?

surferjet · 13/12/2018 16:05

Oh don’t mention Brexit
I’m have nightmares about getting little Tabitha’s cello through customs.
She might have to stop playing for the Berlin youth orchestra & join a street dance club in Wigan. Sad

The shop assistant sliced my naice ham too thin and now one slice doesn't balance the other sandwich ingredients just right, while two slices would be too much.

Also ran out of hazelnut milk and had to make my coffee with almond.

Champagne was on special offer in M&S. I bought 3 bottles but am now wishing I'd got 4. Bugger.

I was in a coffee shop the other day with a therapist friend. I politely asked the man working there for a slice of cake and a glass of water. It never came. I was sitting there doing paperwork quietly. Luckily I found a granola bar in my pocket. My therapist friend witnessed the whole thing.

My chai tea latte was a bit cold by the time I found the biscuits.

@tor8181 I got super king bedding from Asda. It's brushed cotton and it's lovely. They had quite a few to choose from and weren't expensive. Maybe £25 for a duvet cover set, and £10 for sheet.

If you have children who appear in your bed overnight then a super king is a godsend!

Bought a new larder fridge cos the ice machine wasn’t working on my matte black Amana American fridge. On delivery of new fridge delivery drivers found a chip lodged in ice maker stopping production of ice. Gave old fridge to very happy delivery men.

Now have to have the child lock on for my 30 year old son who leans on computer screen of new fridge and turns it all off.

I didn't buy a Christmas wreath from Lidl I liked because it wasn't REAL cinnamon (severely mocked by partner for saying so). My MIL steams pears for my 8 month old who is perfectly capable of eating pears by hand. I was also mocked severely for being middle class by my mother for repeating a phrase I had learned from mummy blogs "food is for fun till 1" at which point she promplty reminded me there were starving children in the world.

SilkenTofu · 13/12/2018 18:45

I bought my dog a Christmas bandana and he doesn't like wearing it. I'm gutted. He looks so festive in it. That dog is really ungrateful.

itsbritneybiatches · 13/12/2018 18:49

I can't chew my Lindt balls because I had a cosmetic brace fitted Monday and it's sore to chew

sodabreadjam · 13/12/2018 19:11

Our yoga class was moved to a smaller hall and we were really cramped - bad enough. Then a woman stood on my mat for quite a few seconds - in her bare feet - where I put my head/face. Eeewww....

rslsys · 13/12/2018 20:48

Since Waitrose have discontinued free coffee for cardholders in their café, they have also cut the number of rashers in their bacon roll from three to two. This means that the best value Americano/Bacon Roll combo is now at Dunelm.

Also we only have a three car garage which means two of our vehicles have to stay outside.

alacazam · 13/12/2018 21:44

SilkenTofu - that's too funny! :) Ungrateful dog.

My preferred eyebrow pencil is out of stock everywhere!

sallysummer · 13/12/2018 22:26

my new kindle doesn't fit in my old case so I will have to buy a new case.

FishBulb · 13/12/2018 22:28

The colour of my fancy knitting needles clashes with the colour of my fancy yarn Shock

MiddlingMum · 13/12/2018 22:39

I have been given too much chocolate and too many biscuits this week. (The food bank is going to get virtually all of them, hopefully before they finish making up their Christmas boxes.)

OldGreyBoots · 13/12/2018 22:49

I'm meant to be getting a new laptop for christmas and I don't know what to ask for because computer specifications confuse me Hmm
Writing that down is the kick up the arse I needed!

CollapsedGingerbreadHouse · 13/12/2018 22:56

My vegan yule log sponge just tastes of bicarb. It's gone in the bin. Now how will I show off my baking skills to my friends at the party tomorrow?!

thighofrelief · 13/12/2018 23:03

I'm looking for a particular perfume - I can smell it in my mind and have ordered about 10 different samples and I can't smell the smell I want. I do have a lot of genuine problems but this one....I spend about 30 minutes at bedtime googling perfumes.

Now that's a first world problem Grin

Butcowsdontgetmarried · 14/12/2018 00:03

That laundry that was late being collected - they forgot to deliver it today. They brought it eventually.

Satsumaeater · 14/12/2018 07:48

There are two roads with the same name in my town, nowhere near each other, but both fairly main roads. If someone talks about one of them you don't know which they mean. One of them needs to be renamed!

NataliaOsipova · 14/12/2018 08:20

Here’s a real first world problem for you. I’ve had a small wine chiller put in my new kitchen....and it doesn’t fit champagne bottles. The trauma! 😂
