I’ve ruined Christmas.

Not really but Aibu to ask for your help?
I ordered a Christmas jumper for my daughter, a red grinch one from primark that had sold out at my local primark .
It hasn’t arrived. The whole family have matching grinch sweaters, what do I do?
She’s 6 so it was a small ladies I was planning to shrink a bit to fit!
Please help me.
I don’t even mind changing my jumper as long as we both wear the same (her “command”) but stock is practically non existent in Christmas jumpers for both of us (I’m a 10-12)!
Please help me!

@apostropheuse I’ve aleays loved that sketch (like most of monty python). And it’s ok. Some people have shit lives or some really awful problems.

@Leapfrog44 yeah I do. Twit. I will wear it every year till it falls apart including to any and all Christmas parties. My nieces and sister will also borrow it. Thanks though (yawn)!

I don’t need a lecture on saving the earth.
I do my fair share but don’t feel the need to spout it on threads that are lighthearted.
I don’t think there’s much Christmas spirit in being judgy either.

Wasn't a lecture, just pointing out you were rude to someone who had a very valid point. I think it's unnecessary, is all.

I think more and more are getting very worried and they are as free to speak about it as you are to seek matching Christmas jumpers.

Just no need to be rude to someone worried.

Let’s agree to disagree. In my opinion leapfrog was rude in your opinion they weren’t.
Unfortunately when my DD is having a screaming meltdown the last thing on my mind is the planet.
However as said above the jumpers (all of them) will be shared around the family.
Next year we will all swap so we all have “new” jumpers.
We do it with any “occasion wear” so nothing goes to waste, we save money, we (to some degree) protect the planet and we aren’t shown up on social media Xmas Grin.
I’ve had a battering on this thread from some people and some lovely people have posted some lovely things.
It’s all good.
I try to be respectful and pleasant but sometimes, just sometimes someone pushes the wrong buttons.
It is wrong to assume that I don’t give a fuck about the planet because of one Christmas jumper.

Someone who's fighting for a cause is all.

I think it's likely and probably fair, that more and more will get called on negative impact on the planet. Not sure how I can disagree with it bearing in mind how desperate a situation it is.

We can all carry on regardless and agree to disagree, and all that, but it still stands.

Not really (yawn) is it? Certainly does imoly you don't care about the planet as you are demonstrating there how above all that you are and how boring it all is.

Clearly its neither, it will be our DC and theirs that suffer.

Very weird thread.

You can't get upset about a 'trivial' issue and you're destroying the planet with a jumper you will probably wear 15(?)ish times this year then swap with other people who wil likely get a good few wears in.

If there weren’t so many lovely people posting then honestly I think I would have been pushed over the edge. Some people really have the knack of making you feel like used chewing gum on the bottom of your (Christmas) Yeezys.

I have been in a relationship for 10 months and things are going well. We are spending Christmas together and my boyfriend's mum will be spending a few days over Christmas with us (that's me, the boyfriend & boyfriend's 11yr old son). His brother and family will also be coming over for the day over the Christmas period (not sure what day). I have always spent Christmas my family, this will be my first time ever to spend it with a guy and his family. Please advise what meals (share recipes if possible too) and everything that I can do to make the festive season amazing for everyone. I want to do all I can to make everyone comfortable and for the festivities to go well. I am from Abroad (Africa) and boyfriend is white British, so any help will be appreciated. Boyfriend tells me not to worry but I want to do my best. Thank u all.
