Not really but Aibu to ask for your help?
I ordered a Christmas jumper for my daughter, a red grinch one from primark that had sold out at my local primark .
It hasn’t arrived. The whole family have matching grinch sweaters, what do I do?
She’s 6 so it was a small ladies I was planning to shrink a bit to fit!
Please help me.
I don’t even mind changing my jumper as long as we both wear the same (her “command”) but stock is practically non existent in Christmas jumpers for both of us (I’m a 10-12)!
Please help me!

Tesco currently have matching parent and children ones, quite a few. I was in there yesterday and they had loads out, there's plenty of shops with plenty of Christmas jumpers, they wouldn't sell out 2 weeks before, you may just have to admit defeat with the Grinch jumper though

IwantedtobeEmmaPeel · 07/12/2018 12:47

@PyongyangKipperbang I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family at least have a peaceful Christmas together and they understand that a roof over their heads is more important than presents and that hopefully next christmas will be better.

7yo7yo · 07/12/2018 13:08

And I am sorry for all the posters going through difficult times, if you need help or support or someone to listen there are plenty of people on mumsnet to do that.

If you don’t need help or support but just want to have a pop on someone posting a light hearted (mumsnet pls add that to the title) thread feel free.
Also, I’ve shared about a Christmas jumper. I haven’t shared about the other (multitude problems) going on in my life.
For all some of you may know my daughter may have special needs which mean she fixates on something and has to have it.
My DH may have an OW in the side and I’m trying to get through a Christmas that I don’t really want to.
My parents may be dying.

Don’t judge posters by one fucking thread.
And fuck you Daily Mail mother fuckers.

I’m genuinely glad you came back to update OP, I wish you a merry Christmas in your jumpers and I hope things settle down at home for you in the coming year (thought I’d be putting itching powder in your —d—h’s jumper Angry

7yo7yo · 07/12/2018 15:18

Lattesforlife thank you. The DH has bought jewellery. I don’t wear jewellery so I’ve put 2+2 together. I’ll see how it works out!
We all have problems and issues.
I know in the big scheme of things it’s not really important to anyone but my daughter (and therefore me).
Anyway she is very happy with the wrapping paper jumpers so all is good in the hood.

I'd get out the knitting needles if I were you. .

Shades of....

Would you wait around to find out if it's just a necklace, or if it's sex and a necklace, or if, worst of all, it's a necklace and love? Would you stay, knowing life would always be a little bit worse? Or would you cut and run?

Or make a lobster head for your daughter’s Xmas play?? Grin

Sb74 · 07/12/2018 18:42

It’s 7th Dec, I think you are panicking a bit prematurely! Can’t you call the suppliers and ask where it is? Probably just a bit delayed this time of year.

Sb74 · 07/12/2018 18:47

Why do people always have to bring these posts down to you should just feel lucky you are alive! If that’s the opinion what is the point of mn as there is always going to be people worse off and better off than you. Everyone has their problems, everything’s relative. Just stick to the OP and take it for what it is rather than being judgemental. People are allowed to have problems not as bad as the next persons but it is a problem for them. That’s life! Get over it! I am sorry for those people suffering but on here should be just answers relating to the post not comparing to other people’s situations in my humble opinion.

Well maybe you should take your own advice and RTFT as OP has already resolved it.

Other wise you look a bit silly.

Sb74 · 07/12/2018 19:17

Gosh yes I look so silly now. How will I ever show my face again. I never read the full thread. Don’t have time. Just like to stick my ore in. Don’t care how I look. Glad op sorted it.

morningtoncrescent62 · 07/12/2018 19:19

Glad there's a happy ending, OP. And doubly glad I don't have to brave my local Primark tomorrow looking for the jumper which halfway through the thread I was resolved to do, despite Primark being carnage on Saturdays in December. My younger dd would have been similar at that age - she could win championships for never letting go once she got an idea into her head and now that she's a lovely and entirely rational adult I kind of miss it.

And sorry to hear about the PPs who have awful shit going on in your lives this Christmas. Flowers

7yo7yo · 07/12/2018 19:20

Aw chill everyone.
Have a drink, a joint, a bath, a spa day.
Stay happy.
Thanks for your help.
I have a daughter wandering around in her Christmas jumper!
Merry Christmas
Xmas Wink

Aldi have elf Xmas jumpers in at the moment. Think they came out last Sunday. They are in men’s, women’s and kids. £7.99 for adult, £5.99 kids. My local Aldi still had plenty of stock.

Mamamoosika · 07/12/2018 19:54

Primark do these in children’s sizes too. I was in the Chesterfield one today and they had loads in age 5-6.

FairyFlake45 · 07/12/2018 23:03

😲 is this a serious post? For goodness sake, get a grip!

7yo7yo · 07/12/2018 23:26

Fairyflake read my posts you twit. Santa and his reindeer will shit down your chimney and the elves will piss in your prosecco Xmas Wink
