Not really but Aibu to ask for your help?
I ordered a Christmas jumper for my daughter, a red grinch one from primark that had sold out at my local primark .
It hasn’t arrived. The whole family have matching grinch sweaters, what do I do?
She’s 6 so it was a small ladies I was planning to shrink a bit to fit!
Please help me.
I don’t even mind changing my jumper as long as we both wear the same (her “command”) but stock is practically non existent in Christmas jumpers for both of us (I’m a 10-12)!
Please help me!

Sometimes a "light hearted" in the title goes a long way!!

YANBU to ask for help but honestly, you won’t get much because you were crazily overdramatic.

I am 100% sure the OP's thread title is for comedy dramatic effect and in the context of something a 6 year old might think. It's LIGHTHEARTED. How can people not see that?!

Backfor you'd say that to a six year old would you? The OP is just being a nice mum!

I think you said she's 6. Don't sweat it. It's a good age to learn that sometimes the world conspires to throws up these difficulties.
I understand that it would be fun to all have the same.
But it can be just as much fun to have all different.

I know MN hates it when people do this, but I'm going to do it anyway.
When my two little daughters were tiny teeny girls (one of them with long term serious health issues) the best Christmasses were when she was home with us and not in hospital.

We wore daft stuff and silly jumpers and ridiculous headgear.
All different silly jumpers and random daft stuff. Nothing matched.
Having matching clothes was the bottom of our list of needs for our wellbeing.

I suppose I'm the Grinch in this thread. But it's a fair point I'm making.
Why not all have different jumpers?

Not sure what you are getting at Flyinggeese Confused

I have been a 6 yr old.
As a parent I have had 3 x 6 yr olds.
At no point would I have wanted to wear what my Mum was wearing and at no point would my dc have wanted to wear what I was wearing.
It makes me think of those terrible American Christmas Cards from the 70s / 80s that you sometimes see on the internet. A very odd look.

I was merely asking if this has changed (as it is a while since my dc were 6)

Buy them in the January sale next year is my advice. Loads cheaper.

Oh ffs. If you lived in Yemen, you’d be justified in saying Xmas was ruined
Not being able to buy a shitty Xmas jumper? YOUR XMAS IS NOT AFFECTED
Jesus. First world fucking problem, or what? Why not think about other people first, eh?

WOW - What is YOUR problem? Op opened with "xmas is ruined - well not really..." It was lighthearted, festive fun and asking if anyone knew where she could get the jumper.

Yes there are some grim things happening worldwide - but we cant spend our lives in sackcloth - it was a bit of fun! Get a grip.

BackforGood if what has changed? You're just talking about you and your family. Imagine for a moment that the OP has a 6 year old who wants matching jumpers. It doesn't mean 'something has changed' and that all 6 year olds want this.

We all have matching xmas PJ's - of course its naff, we know that, baubles, gaudy lights, tinsel and matching PJ's - If op wants matching jumpers, so what? She's not seeking your approval, just a Grinch sweater.

Plenty of Grinches on here tonight Op!

All these ‘first world problems’ brigade need to chill ffs, blatantly said in the first line ‘no not really’
I reckon eBay is your best bet op, or like you said, ask relatives in other cities.
Ps, my 7 year old loves ‘twinning’ with me too!!

I think Christmas is safe.
This.
I had a chest infection part Christmas which meant an OOH visit on the 25 th and everyone refused to eat Christmas dinner and instead ran around madly hitting each other.
I don't think anyone will care.

Hi OP I've just been to primark Newcastle today and they'd rails of them - they also had the xs and xxs so no need to shrink!

If you PM me you details I'd be more than happy to send you one (going next week)

Thankfully I'm not the Grinch that Stole Christmas and would love that your daughter got one (ps they had furry grinch feet slippers, head boppers, t-shits, jumpers, dressing gowns, jamas. X
