The only "solution" to the riddle (or troll post or whatever) is to claim "I've got it" and not reveal the answer. That's exactly what Derek and the OP did. Everyone that does that has solved the riddle. Everyone else, flopping around with wrong answers (i.e. revealed answers) will never ever be free.

The entire thing has been just a load of Boswells. What a waste of internet, time and space. Luckily I skipped a lot of the crud.

I think deep down even the most strong minded and zen posters in the thread are holding out just a tiny bit of hope that there actually is a neat solution to Boswell Joke and either someone is going to come up with it the OP is going to come back and reveal all.
