I love those threads but they seem to never come up now or I miss them

You know the fake AIBU where it's a fictional character the OP pretends to be

Can we have one? Can I try and guess your fake aibu's for who you are?

OP posts:
TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2018 20:11

Are you Claire from Leamington Spa?

hlob · 30/11/2018 20:12

No who is she? I haven't done the fake AIBU yet 😂

OP posts:
hlob · 30/11/2018 20:16

Ok here's one

AIBU to date my ex wife's sister and go for custody of my granddaughter after killing her mum (my DD) with her?

OP posts:
WatcherintheRye · 30/11/2018 20:20

Is it someone from Eastenders? Sorry, am not sure of character names, but on the odd occasion I've seen it recently, I'm sure this was a storyline!

hlob · 30/11/2018 20:26

Yes it was psycho Max

Someone else have a go? I think I'm better at guessing than doing them 😁

OP posts:
Sparklesocks · 30/11/2018 20:30

I like the ones that are so outrageous they can’t be real, but the OP STILL acts like they aren’t sure if they are BU, eg something like ‘i didn’t make dinner early enough so DH took my antique dolls house which my mother gave to me on her deathbed, pissed on the roof of it and ran it over 15 times. AIBU to think this was unfair??’

Or the ‘AIBU to think that..’ with a really widely accepted opinion. Like ‘AIBU to think hitler was a bad man??’

hlob · 30/11/2018 20:36

Yes those are quite funny 😂

I think I might be the only one who enjoys fake aibu's

This hasn't really taken off how I had hoped 🙈

OP posts:
TheDarkPassenger · 30/11/2018 20:45

Aibu to not want to go back to a haunted house where my mum went crazy and killed herself? My family want to go cos my sister is lost and we think she might be there, but I really don’t want to go. My sister is unwell, don’t want to drip feed.

hlob · 30/11/2018 20:48

Persevere hlob you never know someone might join in and enjoy too 😳

Ok

AIBU to think that it's too much work for one night for one person? I'm a delivery person and I have little work usually but am expected to do from sunset to sunrise over a really long distance on one night.

OP posts:
hlob · 30/11/2018 20:50

Ooh thank you TheDarkPassenger

What's wrong with your sister? I don't blame you for not wanting to go there

No! I never spot them because I don't watch television so I'm thinking how weird it all is or how awful, whatever and then realise you are all thinking of a tv programme Grin

Juniorandsenior · 30/11/2018 20:54

There's been a few really creative ones.

DaanSaaf · 30/11/2018 20:56

TheDark yadnbu. Don't go back to the house...ever!!

ZenNudist · 30/11/2018 20:57

FauxBUs

I thought you meant the many fictional aibus / reverses etc that litter mumsnet. Personally i love a bit of creative writing on MN. I just feel sad for people who get sucked in.

hlob · 30/11/2018 21:00

Yes completely fauxBU's

Can we have a thread of them? Or even a whole topic for them? Except it seems I might be one of the few who adores them enough for that

OP posts:
minisoksmakehardwork · 30/11/2018 21:03

Aibu to just up sticks and leave? I'll be abandoning life long friends but if I don't go, I will get stuck and won't be able to progress anywhere. We've had many years of fun roaming freely but people grow and change. My friends are still the same as ever they were and I'm sure they will still be here in years to come if things don't work out.

hlob · 30/11/2018 21:04

I don't watch horror but I've been googling and wondering if the house was called Hill House? @TheDarkPassenger

💐 @minisoksmakehardwork sounds like a really tough decision to make, what part of the country are you in? Is there work outside of doctors or casualty if you do leave?

OP posts:
hlob · 30/11/2018 21:09

I can't wait Flaffable 😁

OP posts:
Zucker · 30/11/2018 21:09

AIBU to stop my son hanging about with the dodgy doctor in the neighbourhood? My son has started to look at me oddly too, I can't say anything to my husband as he's a complete waste of space.

hlob · 30/11/2018 21:11

@Zucker what do you mean he's looking at you oddly? How do you know the doctor is dodgy? How old is DS? Is he being groomed?

OP posts:
TheDarkPassenger · 30/11/2018 21:13

It was haunting of hill house Grin

I love these!!

MoistCantaloupe · 30/11/2018 21:19

@zucker I know that dodgey doctor. He’s always hanging around our local clocktower. YANBU, total nutbag.

minisoksmakehardwork · 30/11/2018 21:21

@hlob. Luckily I don't work at the moment. I'm sure that will come in time. But I'm moving to the city for a new opportunity. It's hard leaving everything I've ever known behind.
