This cropped up in conversation earlier and I was looked at me like I have two heads. I can't be the only person that hasn't started shopping yet? The lady I was talking to has done all of her shopping and most of it is wrapped.

Well if YABU then IABU too. More worryingly I also have no good ideas what to give anyone, or what I want myself!

MaryPoppinsUmberellaHandle · 29/11/2018 14:31

I haven't started yet either

NoraEphronsneck · 29/11/2018 14:32

I am in the same boat. I never worry about it as it all gets sorted e eventually so I usually start as late as possible - Dec 20th one year - but don't seem to have inspiration (or money) this year.

RTFT · 29/11/2018 14:32

Bought and wrapped all mine 😏

mommybear1 · 29/11/2018 14:34

Snap - not even done a list Blush

agirlhasnonameX · 29/11/2018 14:36

Have most of it still to do, promise myself every year I will start early next time Blush

kelper · 29/11/2018 14:37

I haven't either, I refuse to until December starts. I have acquaintances who have already wrapped everything..... This is not me ;)

Topseyt · 29/11/2018 14:37

I haven't either. No inclination at the moment. Not much money either.

It will get done. I have too much else on my plate at the moment.

GhostSauce · 29/11/2018 14:39

Finished mine.

MatildaTheCat · 29/11/2018 14:42

Mostly done due to Amazon, internet shopping and my nature. Feels pretty soulless though.

Most people manage to get it done somehow, to me it matters not what works for others. Some are Christmas Eve shoppers and wrappers but that would kill me.

ivykaty44 · 29/11/2018 14:43

I haven’t done any present purchasing, let along wrapping & don’t intend to until nearer Christmas. Decoration won’t go up until the weekend before Christmas if I can help it

OkToday · 29/11/2018 14:44

Good to see I am not the only one. The only Christmas type item I did add to my online food shop which is be delivered tomorrow is chocolate advent calendars for the dc. The first is Saturday so couldn't leave that much longer. I need to get dc to do Santa letters over the weekend to give me an idea.

BitchQueen90 · 29/11/2018 14:45

I've done about half. I do most of mine online as going round the shops when it's busy is my worst nightmare plus stuff I need might be sold out. I get paid tomorrow so will do a bit more then.

madmum5811 · 29/11/2018 14:48

Bought and wrapped thank god. Have been ill for two weeks, flu and respiratory infection. So that was one thing I did not have to fret about. Just the cards to do now.

Notonthestairs · 29/11/2018 14:49

Food organised (you can see what my priorities are ). I haven't started gifts yet.

Gromance02 · 29/11/2018 14:50

Course I haven't bought any Christmas presents yet. It's not even December.

MysweetAudrina · 29/11/2018 14:51

For the past 4 years I have had exams in the first week of December so couldn't contemplate Christmas until they were over. This year I have none so have about 80% of it done. Not wrapped as I will do that nearer the date. Now I just keep worrying that the house will be robbed when I am out and i will have to do it all over again.

Changingagain · 29/11/2018 14:52

Of course YNBU but my anxiety would be through the roof if I hadn't started yet Grin
If I want to enjoy Christmas instead of stressing about it, I know I have to have most of it done early.
I do wish I could relax enough to leave it all until December though.

DinoGreen · 29/11/2018 14:54

Normally I am like you but this year I decided to be really organised and have bought about half already! I feel so good about it! Like I’m really ahead of the game, I’m spreading the cost instead of paying for it all in December/January, and I even made a spreadsheet. Try it next year OP, I’m a convert to this organised thing!

OkToday · 29/11/2018 14:54

I also need to buy some sort of Christmas tree and decorations as we don't have any. I just can't motivate myself this year. As far as food goes I have a delivery slot booked but not thought much about what to buy.

I keep reserving the PS4 game that DS wants for Xmas in Argos, haven't actually picked it up yet. Blush.

That is the sum total of my Xmas shopping so far!

ivykaty44 · 29/11/2018 14:57

I’ve also found the last two years, when I window shop on line - then go to real shops that it’s more expensive online. So now I’m going to set myself a day to do most of the shopping together in real shops.

OkToday · 29/11/2018 14:57

@DinoGreen in past Christmases I have been organised this year I seem to have lost my Christmas spirit and couldn't careless if we didn't have Christmas. I will do Christmas tho for my kids they still believe in Santa.

BarbedBloom · 29/11/2018 15:01

I have two more to get, but I took advantage of the sales to get the rest. I try to avoid town in December as much as possible to be honest and I tend to do it all online anyway

WinterfellWench · 29/11/2018 15:02

I'd be panicking if I hadn't got any presents yet. It's only 26 days. And once December kicks in, the shops will be batshit, and you will start to struggle to get stuff.

I started in early November, and now have about 90% of everything. (Presents for people - AND food and booze!) It's bonkers to have not got anything, with only 26 days to go!

I don't have much more to get, I have most of the food and booze, and the tree and decorations are up. (Lights go on on the 1st.) So I can pretty much relax now.

I am really glad I don't have kids at home anymore though. A few of the Christmases were a bit stressful.... trying to get what they wanted, and they sometimes changing their mind a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was often too late to take back the first thing, so they ended up with more than I intended to get. I'm sure the little buggers did it on purpose to get more stuff!
