David Beckham. He looks like he should be working on the dodgems at the local fair

Tom Hardy. So average!

Christmas dinner. Bland meat, smelly veg and only ever so slightly redeemed by pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce.

Restaurants that serve me food on something that's not a plate. I once had a chickens and leek pie in a mess tin FFS.

Camping. Trips away and holidays are supposed to be enjoyable, what is fun about sweeping bugs out your home in a morning and freezing half to death on a night

Not for any particular reason, he's obviously a talented singer but I can't stand Ed Sheeran. I hate listening to his songs, I hate how over hyped and played they are whenever he releases a new one, I hate how everyone clambers to get tickets when he goes on tour, I couldn't think of someone more boring to see live.

People always seem to look at me like I just called their Nan a cunt when I say this though so maybe IABU.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Hit it on an evening or weekend and it's terrifying.

dayswithaY · 28/11/2018 18:51

TK Maxx - every single thing in there looks second hand, battered and cheap. Plus no thought to layout - nylon pyjamas next to lavender soap next to diamante necklace and earring gift set.
The White Company - baffled by this shop.
Elton John - looks like my Auntie Gwen and comes across as rude and horrible.
Spice Girls - didn't get it in the 90s and still don't. Girl power? What are you blithering on about. Also someone needs to tell Geri to wind her neck in or that tour won't last 5 minutes as the others will walk.
Ed Sheeran - looks like the Vicar's son strumming Cat Stevens numbers on his guitar - what happened to rock stars?
Phillip Schofield - smug irritating trying to be cool and ironic, so naff he can't even cut it as a parody of Alan Partridge.

I don't get the fuss about Noel Edmonds's body at all! Yes he's in pretty good shape for his age, but there are still many, many men I'd rather ogle over!

MaggieMagpie357 · 28/11/2018 18:54

Mrs. Brown's Boys
The Kardashians
Sushi
Tom Hardy
Game of Thrones
Harry fucking Potter
New York
Flavoured coffee (pumpkin gingerbread latte? FFS)
Christmas Eve boxes Hmm

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 28/11/2018 18:59

The touring Coca-Cola truck and people queueing to have their photo taken with it. Confused

The excitement and anticipation around festive tv advertising campaigns. WHY?

Zombie runs/escape room type things

Tans (either real or fake)

Acrylics/nail extensions

I’m a Celebrity - I agree with the other poster above who mentioned the animal cruelty. I’m a meat eater, so it isn’t a vegan thing but the eating of live animals for tv entertainment is grim.

MrsHinch - [yawn]

anitagreen · 28/11/2018 19:02

Gin, some of our "national treasures"
Even prosseco . Sorry if I spelt it wrong!

Ragwort · 28/11/2018 19:11

Nearly everything that’s already been mentioned, although I do love prosecco, avocados and coffee.
Agree about Christmas markets, just overpriced tat, a colleague was going to one and getting so excited about drinking mulled wine Hmm, surely mulled wine is easy enough to make (or buy a ready made bottle) and enjoy in the comfort of your own home?
Hate any reality type show, hate the snobbery around chain restaurants, I’ve only been to Nando’s once, thought it was OK but hardly a ‘cheap’ meal. I don’t get social media, never used FB, WhatsApp, Skyed or anything - apart from Mumsnet.
People who shop endlessly online (mostly Amazon) & then complain about the death of the high street. Sort your priorities out.

StripySocksAndDocs · 28/11/2018 19:16

Mrs Brown’s Boys - unoriginal humour, straight from the 70s and totally unfunny. (Also had the pleasure of dealing with Brendan O’Carroll through work and he’s a toad.)
Mrs Hinch - not getting this at all. She neurotic; not a trait to be admire but one that she needs help to diminish.

DavetheCat2001 · 28/11/2018 19:19

Strictly - Just the fucking theme music makes me want to gouge out my own eyes.
James Cordon - where do i start...?
ABBA - auuugh.. so so so shit, WHY the buggery do people still listen to this dross??
Goats cheese- BOAK.. smells and tastes like socks
The Eurovision Song Contest - ditto ABBA above.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 28/11/2018 19:31

Sushi so overrated and bland

DavetheCat2001 · 28/11/2018 19:33

...also those fucking selfie filter things that make people look like bunnies or kittens or some such shit. Normally used by uglies to try and make themselves look 'cute' (there ..I said it)

SecretWitch · 28/11/2018 19:39

Summer. It’s nasty and hot. The light hurts my eyes. I burn even if coated in sun cream. I am too short to wear anything “floaty”.

RoboticSealpup · 28/11/2018 19:39

Totally agree about ABBA! They sucked.

DavetheCat2001 · 28/11/2018 19:59

@RoboticSealpup I remember so well being at uni in around 1993/4 and suddenly ABBA had some kind of weird resurgence and my peers were bang into it because it was 'so cool and kitsch' and they used to play it at our SU disco's and IT SUCKED!!!!!

never understood how such bilge became 'cool'

DavetheCat2001 · 28/11/2018 20:07

..oop I'm on a roll now...I hate RESPECT by Aretha Franklin, I especially hate how it is used as some kind of ball cry for wronged wimmin/at every sodding wedding I have ever been to.

The 1990's version (and equally heinous) was 'Movin on Up by M-People...I shared a student house with a girl who was constantly breaking up with various blokes and every time without fail she'd listen to M-People really loudly to 'empower' herself..!

DavetheCat2001 · 28/11/2018 20:07

battle cry...not ball cry Hmm

GabsAlot · 28/11/2018 20:24

Totally agree about ABBA! They sucked.

Nonsense nonsense nonsense.

The Day before you came is one of the best pop songs ever recorded.

Charmatt · 28/11/2018 20:53

Eyebrow treatments...Why? A whole industry created for something I don't notice at all, except for those horrible shaped ones that you pay to have!

X Factor - a really awful programme that should never have been made, let alone dragged out for this long!

StepAwayFromGoogle · 28/11/2018 20:56
