David Beckham. He looks like he should be working on the dodgems at the local fair

Tom Hardy. So average!

Christmas dinner. Bland meat, smelly veg and only ever so slightly redeemed by pigs in blankets and cranberry sauce.

Restaurants that serve me food on something that's not a plate. I once had a chickens and leek pie in a mess tin FFS.

Camping. Trips away and holidays are supposed to be enjoyable, what is fun about sweeping bugs out your home in a morning and freezing half to death on a night

Grinchly - wow.

VerbeenaBeeks · 28/11/2018 16:20

Came on to say Nandos but see I've been beaten to it!
I mean, it's nice, but it's just..... chicken!
People go mad for it, I'm like "yeah, it's nice, but....... it's just average chicken" lol

skyesayshi · 28/11/2018 16:26

YABU about Christmas Dinner, but I totally agree with you on Tom Hardy and Camping.

Gin
Current eyebrow trend
Brand named clothes etc
Elf on the shelf
Christmas Eve box
TOWIE, Chelsea, Geordie etc

Belindabauer · 28/11/2018 16:28

Yes to Elf on the Shelf- creepy little f***
And Christmas markets, over priced tat.

CynthiaRothrock · 28/11/2018 16:40

Gin- don't get it. Tastes like perfume and flowers.
Apple phones/watches/tablets -over priced pieces of crap.
Amazon dot/alexa home hub things. A little robot that listens to you constantly no thanks!
Crap Factor and my voice is shit type shows.
Slebs eating and drinking insects.
The hype that has cause the price of tickets (live music /comedy) to rocket beyond afforable luxury.

Holidays

RoboticSealpup · 28/11/2018 17:36

Five Hundred is fucking disgusting and absolutely dripping in peanut oil. And I like junk food.

GunpowderGelatine · 28/11/2018 17:39

I agree about Nando's. Dare I say it, it's really for people with very bland and pedestrian taste in food to experience what must be, to them, something that has a bit of flavour but isn't too adventurous

OP posts:
GunpowderGelatine · 28/11/2018 17:39

But what is Five Guys? Fast food?

OP posts:
RoboticSealpup · 28/11/2018 17:44

Podcasts! It's usually like overhearing the 'banter' of a random group of not particularly witty but very smug people you don't know.

RoboticSealpup · 28/11/2018 17:44

Oops. Five hundred= five guys. Yes, it's burgers.

RoboticSealpup · 28/11/2018 17:46

Since when do people go mad for Nandos, @VerbeenaBeeks?

VerbeenaBeeks · 28/11/2018 17:50

Since when do people go mad for Nandos, @VerbeenaBeeks?

I know a few people who rave about it, I don't get the hype.
I mean, it's nice enough, but...... meh. Smile

FranciscoGoya · 28/11/2018 17:53

Dare I say it, it's really for people with very bland and pedestrian taste in food to experience what must be, to them, something that has a bit of flavour but isn't too adventurous

It's not that. It's just a trend, like McFlurries were a few years ago. Something new and completely unspectacular that catches the imagination of the youth. High-school and uni students go mad over stuff like that just because everyone else is, basically.

bringincrazyback · 28/11/2018 17:54

Food, and anything related to it. It's just food ffs.

MelanieCheeks · 28/11/2018 17:55

Big sharpie eyebrows
Raw red onion as a garnish on EVERYTHING
Fortnite
IACGMOOH
Cold shoulder tops

GallicosCats · 28/11/2018 17:56

Tiramisu. Always strikes me as being a bit of a drunken accident with the coffee, amaretto biscuits and liqueur.

Eating out. The food's always second-rate or pretentious or both.

Halloween. We never did it when I was a kid and I can't get into it now.

Strictly/Bake Off/I'm a Celeb. What's the point? And while I remember, just celebrity itself. Why???

Shopping as a hobby. (I think a lot of us have gone off this, which is why the high street has hit the skids).

VerbeenaBeeks · 28/11/2018 18:00

Forgot about Elf on The Shelf! I usually end up hiding half my newsfeeds in December Grin
Creepy little thing.
Although Mrs's Hinch's take on it with Mink On The Sink is making me laugh lately. I must be mellowing in my old age lol.

Oh and off an a tangent, I don't "get" gin either. Yak.

TheDarkPassenger · 28/11/2018 18:05

Being here and reading all these I don’t really think I have anything I realllllly hate (except things that others also hate like murder)

Ohhhhhhh wait.

I hate when vegans come into our restaurant, make a big fucking song and dance about their food and then pretend not to hear me when I tell them none of our Prosecco or wines are vegan. In fact we’re a pretty unvegan place to be anyway as we keep bees, but that’s an aside and nothing compared to watching someone eat something your chefs took time and care over to make sure it’s 100% vegan only for them to wash it down with non vegan wine. Makes me rage my tits off

TheDarkPassenger · 28/11/2018 18:07

But although I hate that, I don’t hate vegans. I have lotsssss of respect for vegans. I hate fake vegans. I hate faddy veganism

NeedToChangeMyLightBulb · 28/11/2018 18:09

Ooh I love a fake tan
And eyelashes
And if I had the money I’d have these plus nail extensions.... ah the dream

PawneeParksDept · 28/11/2018 18:11

@TheDarkPassenger

Here's a faddy vegan story to give you the rage.

5 hungry people. Lunchtime. Two vegans.

Ragged us all over the city in the winter, because she "didn't want falafel" and "that's a chain" and "the proprietors friend was objectionable that time"

Christmas meal out. Ordered Goats Cheese. As a treat.

TheDarkPassenger · 28/11/2018 18:21

@PawneeParksDept

Ohhhh I would have had to say something! :|
Or else sit and eat my own dinner raging and making passive aggressive comments 😂
