To be angry and feel the Scottish Gov’s Twitter header is an attack on women?

i’d like them to clarify exactly what their definition of “transphobic” is because it seems to have become a slur these days often aimed at anyone but mostly women who are critical of or question in any way the recent upsurge of identity politics. I just feel they’re doing a knee jerk, ignorant, unnecessary huge fuck you to women.

Post how you like. I've only said in the past that you YY as part of the script, never that you couldn't do it.
Unlike me told "don't do it again" upthread when I forgot to bold names.

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 14:27

And you can stop doing it, because it's harassment. It's not a script. You're attacking me personally for the way I post. I could take the piss out of all your annoying tics but I won't.

It's how people often express agreement on MN when they haven't got anything to add particularly.

VerbeenaBeeks · 06/12/2018 14:28

You're the one who brought it up Confused

VerbeenaBeeks · 06/12/2018 14:31

You don't WANT to hear anyone else's point of view. That much is evident.
How come when I say something like question the way someone posts it's harassment, but when I make the grave error of forgetting to bold someone's name at the beginning it's don't do it again and rolly laughter and all agreeing with each other how silly I'm being?
How does that work then?

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 14:32

In fact I'm going to ignore you again. You aren't posting in good faith IMO (and other people have also questioned that) and haven't made a single substantive point that you were prepared to explain, even when asked politely.

I'll bow out for now if it's just you.

VerbeenaBeeks · 06/12/2018 14:34

Yes, the ones who agree with you. As you all backslap each other and put down others when they engage.
Which is the majority of the thread as there's only me and Rat who say anything and answer questions - as soon as they're answered though the patronising and told you're wrong, try again starts up again.

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 14:36

No, scrumple asked you serious questions. And your replies were quite rude and dismissive.

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 14:37

That really is it now.

VerbeenaBeeks · 06/12/2018 14:43

Yes, they were good questions, I said though that there is absolutely no point in answering though.
Take a look why at the rest of the thread.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 06/12/2018 15:10

Is anybody actually getting anything from this thread now? Because it's starting to look like one time when it really might be more productive to discuss soup recipes.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 06/12/2018 15:11

Nope, ive been hiding

Sorry lurking...lurking sounds better

RatRolyPoly · 06/12/2018 15:12

I'm all up for soup on this occasion!

VerbeenaBeeks · 06/12/2018 15:18

Same, definite soup weather here today Smile

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 06/12/2018 15:26

I'm trying to decide whether to get myself a blender for Christmas. In which case I'll follow my usual plan of coming back from the supermarket with a rucksack full of veg, peel, chop & throw in the pan with herbs, spices & stock and see what happens.

RatRolyPoly · 06/12/2018 15:37

Get a blender! What do you do at the moment? Your chopping must be a darn sight better than mine if you're knocking up soups at the mo without resorting to power tools.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 06/12/2018 15:41

I'm not that good! It's all curries & hotpots at the moment. I live on my own & usually batch cook & freeze at weekends, so I can get home to a freezer full of home-cooked ready meals. Just thinking that soups might be a nice extra comfort food option.

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 15:43

You could just get a hand (stick) blender. Less hassle to wash up. I wouldn't bother spooning soup into my blender. And if you go to Lidl at the right time, really cheap.

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 15:45

I wish I were as well prepared as you, Empress! I don't have a proper freezer, just a tiny ice box. That's on my list to get.

RatRolyPoly · 06/12/2018 15:46

Stick blenders are definitely a good thing to try before splashing out on something industrial sized. I inherited a 40 year old Magimix so I'm blessed!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 06/12/2018 15:46

Yeah ive got a hand blender

Its nearly 20 years old!!

And i lost my favourite mushroom soup recipe...i know exactly which recipe book it was in....just forgot to write it down before i ditched the book

RatRolyPoly · 06/12/2018 15:49

You need to put out an MN appeal for anyone who has it Rufus! Prime candidate for the power of Mumsnet.

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 15:49

Yes mine is ancient too Rufus. My food processor is quite new but I don't use it that often.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 06/12/2018 15:49

Once i was on a woods trip with some year 6 children

And the woods leader person was talking about animals hunting in the woods and he said

Does anyone know what stalking is

And this liitle year 6 said

Yeah...its following a girl round without her knowing

We were all Shock

Lurking makes me think of that...

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 06/12/2018 15:50

Yeah i should rat

Bloody tidying!!!

Its not good for anyone

Ereshkigal · 06/12/2018 15:51

I agree with Rat (blimey Grin) that someone will have it.
