The space bar, did you know?

So I have just discovered by holding down the space bar on my phone keyboard, I can move the cursor to wherever I want on my message....

This will save me hours of frustration and having to undo loads of text I actually want!

I thought I'd share, but maybe you all already knew abs didn't tell me?

AIBU to think this is genius?

The 'tap space bar twice and it will put a full stop in' annoyed me so much, i turned it off!

I didn't know this, either. I did know about tapping the screen to place the cursor, but this is much more accurate.

I did know about the space bar and fullstop. I mentioned the space bar to DD and she said of course she knew. Well why didn't she tell me ?

Did you also know if you tap the iphone’s Home key lightly, twice, (without clicking it) that your phone screen shrinks to half size so you can use it with one hand??

I didn’t know this! I always press on the message and move the cursor around like that, with the aid of the ‘magnifying glass’ that comes up. The keyboard way is easier. For those of you struggling you need a harder press. (Can’t remember the technical term!)

FaveNumber I wondered why it did that, of course it’s easier that way with one hand 🙄

Brilliant! Much more accurate than the finger of approximation as if you press too hard you get the selection bar or the lollipops of doom. Now I can insert to my hearts content.

For those of you struggling you need a harder press
If you have 3D Touch (iPhone 6S and later, except iPhone SE and iPhone XR), you can press hard anywhere on the keyboard.
If you don't, you have to press and hold the space bar.

When I keep my finger on the space bar it just scrolls up the whole page really fast

this reminds me of the day I found out how to change tabs using my keyboard.changed.my.life.
