To think that parents who don't vaccinate their children are despicable

Just that. And I think they ought to be sanctioned in some way similar to in Australia. Children shouldn't suffer because of parents' stupidity

Yidette86 why don't you agree with the combined vaccine?

BrightStarrySky · 30/11/2018 14:04

OP I agree.

My SIL refused to vaccinate my nieces but eventually had to do this when they stated school (in Australia). The same system should be introduced here.

OrgyofSausages · 30/11/2018 14:12

Yes OP you are being completely unreasonable. Lots of vaccination Nazis on this thread I see. It's a stupid thread.

nornironrock · 30/11/2018 14:22

Yidette86 - no need to report her, but perhaps an arm round the shoulder and some reassurance would be better. Anyone can have a reaction a vaccination. I know I did before I started working in the Amazon. Felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Still preferable to dying form something entirely preventable though.

OrgyofSausages please don't climb on the "people who have opinions I don't like are Nazis" bandwagon. You're belittling those who suffered at their hands. If you disapprove of vaccines so strongly, perhaps try and find some evidence of how they do more harm than good. I'll not hold my breath.

I don’t think you see anything at all.

It's a stupid thread

And yet you responded?

My 7yo ds has ptsd and I took him yesterday for his shot. He ran into the parking lot with me running behind twice. It was a disaster. We will be going back tomorrow and trying again. Every year it is brutal getting him his flu shot and vaccines but we do it because it saves lives. His and other people who are unable to get the shot. We talk a lot about vulnerable populations because he was one when I brought him from Ethiopia. He did have a reaction to his vaccines so we did a slower version and I relied on the majority of people to have had theirs so he wouldn't get sick during that time... Vaccines are a privilege to get. I do think as someone above if your child or one of you children has almost died due to them of course your reasons are understandable for not doing it or being reluctant. But for the everyday experience we need people to get theirs.

vaccination Nazis
Fuck you, OrgyofSausages. Just fuck right off.
The people who want to protect the welfare of children have nothing in common at all with the people who tattooed the numbers on my FIL's forearm.
Go fuck yourself

Polidori how I wish there was a standing ovation emoji.

Yidette86 · 30/11/2018 16:12

Feeling like you've been hit by a truck from a vaccination is a lot different from almost losing your child because of one so sorry you can't compare your reaction to her child's.

Whatever decision she goes with I'll support her, it's not my place to encourage her, I have suggested splitting them like myself but at the end of the day it's up to her and what she feels best for her child. I can't even imagine what she went through it must have been scary.

Polidori

To the point, correct in every possible way and said with a forceful elegance.

You absolutely deserve a standing ovation emoji, as noniron says.
