I posted here before about my DS wierd bruise under his armpit went to a n e and they checked him over no problems. Got a call of the gp today asking us to go in checked him over and she's not happy with it. we've got to get a blood test done and going to the main hospital 112 miles away. They are going to be checking for leukaemia and blood disorders. I'm fucking shitting it. Thinking the worst of the worse. Waiting on phone call to tell us when to go hopefully today possibly tomorrow....

I am so glad your baby boy is ok OP!

I am sure you will be ok.

I can’t imagine many abusive parents would take their child to the gp to get a bruise that they caused, checked out!

Could your ds have climbed out of his cot? Hurting his underarm in the process?

NotSoThinLizzy · 22/11/2018 12:27

He's not climbing out his cot yet thankfully but this morning I saw something that could be the cause of it. His pram as two front wheels that stick out.he stands in the middle of them and tried to fasten the buckles if he fell sideways on to the wheel part it would explain alot

Oh I'm relieved his bloods are all fine!

SinkGirl · 22/11/2018 15:15

Glad his blood tests were okay.

This is honestly my worst nightmare. One of my twins is a proper daredevil - he climbs constantly and has no sense of danger. He constantly falls and has bruises everywhere including some small ones on his back this week where he fell off the sofa on to some toys on the floor. I know it would look really dodgy but hopefully after observing him for a couple of minutes they’d see what I’m up against! A friend was investigated after her child had a nasty accidental injury - very traumatic for all involved but they quickly realised it was nothing she’d done.

NotSoThinLizzy · 22/11/2018 15:27

Got to go to hosp tomorrow afternoon so peaditration can check the bruise. Which by the way is quite faded now so I don't really see what they can do

Given initially you were posting also because you were miffed at your husband- what's his take on all this? Is he being more supportive?

NotSoThinLizzy · 23/11/2018 08:33

Honestly I don't know. We've not really talked about it

Good luck Flowers

My advice is to keep logs of everything, ask for transcripts etc and keep in mind, anything you say can and will be used against you, no matter how approachable they seem Hmm.

Admittedly, the SW we briefly had to deal with (due to crazy ILs) is being let go/ struck off due to incompetence so obviously our experience will inevitably be bad.

2isabella2 · 23/11/2018 19:18

I hope you are all ok x

lillylollylandy · 24/11/2018 13:31

How did it go OP?

MemoryOfSleep · 24/11/2018 21:17

Hope everything is OK, OP. Flowers
