Middle aged man with no hobbies. Not into 'foodie' type gifts, already owns too many clothes. I'm at a complete loss this year. What are you all buying your OH's?

Last year was easy, as his favourite jacket fell to bits a few weeks earlier. He got a nice leather jacket. But this year, I'm fresh out of ideas!

HolidayShopping - they all choose the aeropress over a coffee machine. We have one friend who also has a French press and a Chemex (I think that’s what it’s called) and he still chooses do use his aeropress on a day to day basis. Apparently it makes the coffee very smooth or something. Obviously the quality of the beans and the grind will make a difference too but they all love it. I would say for making 2 cups regularly it’s absolutely fine and not faffy at all. Anything more than that and you might want to use a cafetière. My mum makes two cups almost every time she uses it - for her and my dad.

Mainly things he's asked for. It sounds boring but he only has one hobby (guitar) that he's got everything he wants/needs for it, he's got all the gadgets he wants, doesn't like aftershave, and isn't a fan of experience days. In short he's a pita to buy for.

So far he's got a new coat, a ps4 game, some cds, a new t-shirt and a 3kg bag of giant cola bottles.

@Hunlife I was inspired by your post to look at Airpods for husband, they're perfect for him. I added them to my Amazon basket at £145 and last night they'd gone down to £137. I prevaricated hoping they'd go down further now it's Actual Black Friday, and they've gone up to bloody £160! Angry Angry Angry I'm so cross with myself, no way I'm going to buy them for £23 more than they were this morning!

Middle aged man who has everything he needs, etc. It's difficult, but I try something a bit different every year.

This year it's

  • some special brand coffee(s)
  • voucher for sports shop, cycles but I'm never she what is useful, so he can choose in New year sale

Finally, something nice in the bedroom department... That always works 😉 for the men I've known
