To think my partner is having an affair because of strange delivery?

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 19:50

My partner has been working away a lot in the last 3 months. Like almost constantly away Mon to Fri. That's fine.

Today a parcel came, I get a lot from e bay and it looked like an e bay parcel... hand written address, post office packaging etc.

I opened it as i was expecting some tops I had bought from e bay. I opened it and it was my partners shirt. Washed, ironed and folded. No note but by the address it said from honey???? In pen.

I asked him why his shirt has been delivered and he said he has bought another from e bay???? Why would you. It's not even one of his nice ones.
Am I being a big mad paranoid loser?

Do you know his Ebay username?

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:54

Omg God I'm sorry Yorkshire pud.
Sorry catching up on thread.

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:54

Yes I do. Does that help

You can search his username and see what he's bought.

Bearbehind · 14/11/2018 20:56

If he has 2 shirts the same he’s telling the truth.

If 1 shirt has mysteriously disappeared I’d question it further.

Did the seller of the shirt online have a user name mentioning honey?

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:57

Return address is in Scotland. He's been in London but travels as part of what he does. Scotland slag could also have been on course and discovered it when home? Or it could just be the e bay thing which I think it may be as a return postcode is unlikely for an affair surely

OP posts:
Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:58

No. The sellers name on e bay wasn't honey... nothing like it the. It was a bloke

This is absolutely something dh would do. It's happened more than once that we've gone shopping and he's picked out a top for himself and asked my opinion, only for me to remind him he already owns an identical one. In fact, on at least one occasion, he's been actually wearing it at the time. Didn't stop him buying another! Grin

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:58

Can you ok.ill do that

OP posts:
GrandTheftWalrus · 14/11/2018 20:59

If it was dodgy why would they put a return address unless they wanted caught?

I think it's innocent.

Shirleyphallus · 14/11/2018 20:59

Scotland slag could also have been on course and discovered it when home?

Ouch. I know you’re in shock OP but your husband would be in the wrong here more than some woman. Or “slag”.

NoseTitZilla · 14/11/2018 21:03

If he's anything like me, I bought the same lipstick 3 times only to get it home the last 2 times and realise I already had it. I really loved the shade. It's plausible!

PunishmentSnart · 14/11/2018 21:05

Am i the only one who is really confused?

Why did you find the shirt in your sold items? Had you sold it earlier in the month?

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 14/11/2018 21:06

I think they've removed the ability to see the purchase history now, there is a way around it and I don't know if I'm allowed to post links here however a quick google search shows you how to do that.

You can also go and look on his feedback, every seller I've bought with has left feedback and his feedback may show something.

halfwitpicker · 14/11/2018 21:10

Something is not sitting right here

lostinjapan · 14/11/2018 21:10

Why did you find the shirt in your sold items? Had you sold it earlier in the month?

No, she searched for the shirt on eBay by brand name, colour, size etc. Then she will have clicked on 'sold items' and seen all the matching shirts that people have recently sold. And from there she's found the one that her DP claims to have bought.

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 14/11/2018 21:11

look at it to see if it's an exact replica or 'fake'

Why?

CrispbuttyNo1 · 14/11/2018 21:13

Bizarre.,

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 14/11/2018 21:14

Something is not sitting right here

Like what? Man particularly liked a shirt he owned, so bought another one the same on eBay. Wife opened it not realising it was addressed to husband, questions why a shirt that looks like his has arrived in the post. Man says he bought it off eBay, and a 'sold items' search on eBay shows that this item was indeed sold on eBay 5 days ago.

What's the remaining mystery?

CrispbuttyNo1 · 14/11/2018 21:18

“What's the remaining mystery?”

For me it’s the op finding the shirt, all sorted, then suddenly wondering if some Scottish slag Hmm had been in London too...

CrispbuttyNo1 · 14/11/2018 21:18

Finding it on eBay I mean

lostinjapan · 14/11/2018 21:20

Why is the OP finding the shirt on eBay a mystery? I could do the same in seconds if she sent me the details and a photo.

SmashedPatsy · 14/11/2018 21:23

So we have 2 options.

Either (a) Man buys shirt on eBay, or

(b) man has affair, leaves shirt with lover. Lover launders the shirt and decides to mail it to man. Man claims to have bought it on eBay and, in an amazing stroke of luck, an identical shirt was indeed sold on eBay a few days previously.

Idk, it doesn't sit right, LTB.

CS12345 · 14/11/2018 21:25

Did you really just refer to some woman as a sl#g?

Ariela · 14/11/2018 21:31

I was going to suggest Honey was perhaps a Filipino name (know of one)
and 3rd option @SmashedPatsy Filipino housemaid at hotel launders found shirt, gets address from hotel computer system, and mails it back.
