To think my partner is having an affair because of strange delivery?

My partner has been working away a lot in the last 3 months. Like almost constantly away Mon to Fri. That's fine.

Today a parcel came, I get a lot from e bay and it looked like an e bay parcel... hand written address, post office packaging etc.

I opened it as i was expecting some tops I had bought from e bay. I opened it and it was my partners shirt. Washed, ironed and folded. No note but by the address it said from honey???? In pen.

I asked him why his shirt has been delivered and he said he has bought another from e bay???? Why would you. It's not even one of his nice ones.
Am I being a big mad paranoid loser?

So not having an affair then, just a bit odd Grin

X Post.

Looks like you've got your answer then OP!

You must be relieved!

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:38

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family are ok

So his history does say he ordered a shirt the same as one he already owns? So he now has two identical shirts? As in you have seen both shirts? So it can't be someone sending his shirt back, and to top it off he has shown you the order on eBay from the 9th?

Sounds like he just really likes the shirt. And you need to learn to trust him more. Glad it's nothing more OP.

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:39

No. What a knob he is tho for being so odd and I'm a knob for being paranoid. I'm still fuming with him for stressing me out tho.

Oh wow. Thank goodness all ok OP

dayswithaY · 14/11/2018 20:39

Case closed. Seems plausible enough.

TableSalt · 14/11/2018 20:40

But did it have your name on it or his? Or no name?

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:40

Yep he just really loves the shirt. Although no I didn't see his order history or account.

I searched on my account as advised on here via the 'Sold items' option.

dementedma · 14/11/2018 20:41

am i the only one wondering what he wore to come home in had he left his shirt behind? Coming home topless would have been bit of a give away, plus he might have felt the draught! If he had a collection of clothes at his lovers house, why would she post this one back, assuming she knew his address?
some people are very quick to jump to conclusions...

Thanks scottydog xxx

@Mumshotel glad it was innocent in the end. Your wobble was understandable as he has been working away from home and it can be difficult being the one at home keeping the household running on your own.

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:43

Ha ha. He took more than one shirt away with him

FearLoveAndTheTimeMachine · 14/11/2018 20:43

Did you find out why it had the ‘honey x’ note in?

dontticklethetoad · 14/11/2018 20:44

DBN1 · 14/11/2018 20:44

If it was under the sold items list then surely that means one of you had sold it, not bought it? How odd! Confused

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:44

Thank you bad irene. I am very tired and a little resentful if I'm honest. I wouldn't mind a break in a hotel Monday to Fri with judt me to look after. I've put two and two together and made five.

OP posts:
Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:46

No. It just said from honey. No kiss and it was written on the address label (our address) the sold shirt on e bay wasn't sold by Any one called honey, but perhaps it's their paypal name????

His explanation could put your mind at ease but if not just ask to see the original shirt with the new one or look for it- assuming the original shirt is a 'brand' shop bought one and not off Ebay in the first place you could ask why he bought it on there and look at it to see if it's an exact replica or 'fake' (even if it's a Next or George shirt rather than a designer).

PiggeryPorcombe · 14/11/2018 20:49

@DBN1 you can just search for things that have been sold on eBay. Not sold by you yourself.

Mumshotel · 14/11/2018 20:49

I'll look for the shirt. He still has stuff in wash basket from being away, I'll look loopy going thru that bit ill try
