The DUP are absolute wankers.

I am not in the UK. I do sympathise with the Brexit disaster unfolding, I know people in the UK have much bigger concerns for their economy, than the NI border and GFA.

I am horrified the DUP were invited in. They are nasty poison bastards and I fear they will not agree to anything because it makes things different in NI. They do not care about cross border business, or fighting, as long as there the same as the UK. It is all a nightmare.
I watched a few clips on YouTube of Pop goes Northern Ireland of different stages during the troubles. It is very good, for anyone unaware of the fighting in NI.
Not an aibu. Just a rant.

The DUP would never admit to self-pleasure. The biggest mistake Theresa May made was doing a deal, instead of calling their bluff as they would not want Jeremy Corbyn in number 10.

shakethatass · 14/11/2018 18:41

Sammy is putting a message out to Theresa love on bbc news now 😫

Sold down the river sammy! Bye bye

BakewellTart01 · 14/11/2018 18:42

As a person born and living in NI i cant believe some of what I have just read.

To be clear, DUP are a shower of shites. Unfortunately they hold NI back from moving forward with things like same sex marriage and abortion laws. Teressa May should have known about them before she got into bed with them.

But, why shouldnt NI be a part of the UK negotiations? The population of NI had a majority which voted to remain in the EU. The good friday agreement isnt just something on the news. The people of Northern Ireland lived that. It was horrific to wake up everyday to see more people have been killed. It was horrible to drive up to a road block not knowing if it was RUC or disidents. The peace process in Northern Ireland is founded on the Good Friday agreement. The same people that vote for DUP and Sinn Fein are still in northern ireland. So us being part of the negotiations is fucking essential or it is very possible we could return to that violence.

Sorry people who pay taxs and national insurance and contribute to the UK are such an inconvenience.

DullPortraits · 14/11/2018 18:46

Do u think northern ireland want to be the same as the UK- ermm because they ARE PART of the UK??

You are not wrong that the DUP are poison mind - will give you that one I also am not convinced they want the best for NI

treaclesoda · 14/11/2018 18:47

Is this the recent widely reported extra marital affair, or is there another one?

treaclesoda · 14/11/2018 18:49

Without naming names obviously!

shakethatass · 14/11/2018 19:18

No @treacle it hasn't been reported in the mainstream media

shakethatass · 14/11/2018 19:46

Maverick66 · 14/11/2018 19:46

Spot on shakethatass

bellinisurge · 14/11/2018 19:56

As much as I want to shove this up their collective gammon arse, it is incumbent upon everyone not to agitate the deckers too much.

bellinisurge · 14/11/2018 19:56

Feckers even

scubadoobie · 14/11/2018 19:58

The affair between the two DUP MPs goes back apparently to 2007. If you web search 'dup affair super injuction', that'll get you on the road.

The hypocrisy of that shower is digusting. My town, which is in Jr's Constituency, has lost nearly 2000 jobs over the past few years and that slimy little 'princeling' was nowhere to be seen in his fiefdom. Then, when the Local Council stepped in to provide support to those losing thier jobs, he shows up for the photo ops. And that example is not even scratching the surface. There's plenty of info out there..... here are a few samples:

shakethatass · 14/11/2018 20:06

Yip... I just googled it. 2nd result, spot on!

Firstbornunicorn · 14/11/2018 20:14

@scubadoobie he actually tweeted something a few months back that was ambiguous, but suggested he was excited about the Michelin closing!
Excited! About hundreds of jobs being lost!

peachgreen · 14/11/2018 20:18

@bellinisurge That comment made me laugh so much. God this whole thing is just an embarrassment, isn't it?

scubadoobie · 14/11/2018 21:58

@Firstbornunicorn

This deleted tweet?

This one was a doozy too

Another example of DUP hypocrisy would be how they howl for resignations when elected members of other NI parties behave poorly but lift the drawbridge when their own get caught out. Even when one of their own membership (a rare bird indeed) actually pointed out wrong doing in the party, the leadership went after her instead

StoneofDestiny · 14/11/2018 23:57

The DUP are sectarian bigots and in every sense are extremists. Theresa May used their support to keep her government in power.

Nothing good could ever come of this marriage made in hell.

Firstbornunicorn · 15/11/2018 02:08

@scubadoobie I was thinking of the first...I didn't realise he had the self-awareness to delete it.
I used to live in Ballymena and couldn't stand him and his cult-leader mate prancing about the town like they were celebs.

shakethatass · 15/11/2018 08:23

@Firstbornunicorn aren't they hateful?
It's the arrogant 'we are untouchable' attitude that they portray

EmeraldShamrock · 16/11/2018 08:03

After yesterday it is much bigger than the DUP. Massive financial loss to the Republic already. Lots more custom staff are been hired. It is a disaster unfolding. Need to get ready for the big storm.

I used to live in Ballymena

It's impossible, when I come across the word 'Ballymena', not to mentally say it in a Ballymena accent Confused

'Cork' has a similar effect.

EmeraldShamrock · 16/11/2018 08:54

Me too, DP laughs at my Belfast accent for certain words. I love cork accent too. Especially discussing the Tommy Tiernan show.
