AIBU to think a breast implant of 360ml won’t be too big?

Help ladies, I have to decide before my appointment tomorrow. Very small AA breasts currently, surgeon has advised using a 360ml implant. They can’t be sure what size this will result in but between a D-DD likely. Can anyone advise? AIBU to think this won’t be too big.

How could a stranger on MN be better placed to advise you than your surgeon? Talk to your medical team about this, only they can assist.

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:35

I was hoping that someone who has had implants would be able to share their experience Grin

WTF?

Ask your surgeon. Confused

Fuzzywig · 13/11/2018 22:37

It depends... a 32AA to a 32DD you’d probably look top heavy.

38AA to 38DD might look in proportion.

Ask if they have a sample you could stick against you to get an idea.

Good luck tomorrow.

Blanchedupetitpois · 13/11/2018 22:38

But even if someone has had implants they’d have to have the exact same body shape as you for their experience to be relevant. Honestly, I worry that you’ll get bad advice from people who don’t know anything like enough to be helpful!

The realself.com website is good for seeing real life before and after pics of surgery or cosmetic treatment.

The ight before your surgery and you don’t yet know? I’d be postponing

AhoyDelBoy · 13/11/2018 22:40

What dress size and height are you? It really depends on that I think.

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:40

I’ve done the rice test, but I really can’t tell. I do think I’d like to be smaller, but I don’t want to regret them. It’s all a bit of a best guesstimate, as it depends of existing breast tissue, positioning and drop Grin

yikes - youre brave going in for surgery tomorrow not knowing the outcome!

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:41

I’m 5’6 and a size 6.

Hmm

Nothing wrong with that Juno. Average UK bra size is a D. DD will not look out of place and it's still possible to get bras for.

I'm thinking of going the other way once I've done having kids and breastfeeding (currently squeezed into a 34 L because that's the biggest cup size I can get :/ smallest as an adult was a 28 HH at a size 6.

If you want a boob job - go for it. But talk through your options and how they'll look (and the look you want) with your surgeon.

I'd also state that a big jump in cupsize may cause a bit of upper back/ neck strain initially. Might be worth building up some upper body muscles before taking the plunge?

Zintox · 13/11/2018 22:42

I went from less than AA to a D. My surgeon offered a choice between two sizes and said to go for the bigger one. But I wish I'd gone a bit smaller. I'd say go one size down because bras are prettier in C cup or below.

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:42

It’s the final planning appointment, but I think I need to be clear in my head before the final selection. It’s all very exciting (and stressful) Grin

BiscuitBiscuit

Sorry, Im no help!

Bibijayne · 13/11/2018 22:42

@Changingitagain123

At a size 6, I suspect you are smaller than you think on the back size (and thus a bigger cup than you think too!)

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:43

Oh Zintox, that is what I wanted to hear. I think a C might be better.

There's 330ml in a can of coke... so maybe it would be like a coke can equivalent on each side (round obviously Blush)

Im a DD and I would like mine to be a bit smaller. I think it can make me look top heavy and fat in some tops. If I had a magic wand I think a C cup would be the most elegant size. Everyone has different tastes though of course.

Good luck Smile

OwlinaTree · 13/11/2018 22:45

I'd go a bit smaller. Once into DD territory you will probably find you need to wear a bra all the time. A C cup you will probably get away without one when you want to.

chocolatecoveredraisons · 13/11/2018 22:45

5ft3 had AA went for 310 implants. Perfect size. I think you'll be just fine with 360. Don't go bigger though

chocolatecoveredraisons · 13/11/2018 22:46

I'm a full C cup and occasionally a D

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 13/11/2018 22:47

Also depends if the implant is on top or under the muscle, if the implant is high or low profile, the shape of your chest, the length of your chest area from collarbone to top of breast, there are so many permutations on the outcome, I think you need to ask more questions. I had 275cc implants, high profile, on top of the muscle and went from a B to a D, but that is my experience yours could be very different depending on many factors.

DailyMailWankers · 13/11/2018 22:48

Just seen you're a size 6. In that case I would definitely go for the C. Smallish and perky I think is ideal long term.

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:48

Chocolate, what size did the 310 result in you being?

Thank you so much for those sharing your thoughts, I don’t want to regret it, but I am thinking smaller will be better for me.
