AIBU to think a breast implant of 360ml won’t be too big?

Help ladies, I have to decide before my appointment tomorrow. Very small AA breasts currently, surgeon has advised using a 360ml implant. They can’t be sure what size this will result in but between a D-DD likely. Can anyone advise? AIBU to think this won’t be too big.

C cup but if I had to I could get away with a D. Mine aren't huge, just well shaped and I don't really need a bra in some outfits

chocolatecoveredraisons · 13/11/2018 22:50

I would go for 310 espesh as you're a size 6. My friend did the same and hers do look a lot more fake than mine as her frame is so skinny. But she loves hers and I love mine but they do look so different considering they are the same size

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:51

That’s exactly what I want. I’m going to suggest smaller implants. Mine are currently so small, very little breast tissue after breast feeding. The implants are having to go under the muscle.

Mine went under. The surgeon said he would have struggled to get any bigger in. If you've had AA your whole life then I think anything will be a great improvement. Smaller can be made bigger with the correct bras. Harder to make bigger seem smaller

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 22:56

Gosh, that makes perfect sense, I’d rather smaller and then use padding when necessary. I’d like not to have to wear bras at times too. Thanks chocolate!

I had a 500cc and 550cc implant. To even thing out, I'm 5ft 2 and a hourglass size 12. I went from a 34B to a 34F. I have a wide robe cage meaning the larger implant was more appropriate. I also had my implants above the muscle.

I went with the surgeons recommendation, you will have a chance pre op to discuss it again. You can ask to see the implant sizes and you should practice different sizes in a bralet to get a general idea of post op size.

Changingitagain123 · 13/11/2018 23:07

Thanks Coach. Hopefully tomorrow will make it all clearer.

Yes! Don't be afraid to ask to see the implants or try them on for size.

Also ask what brand you are having, the guarantee on them and so forth. I had allergen naturell implants and I adore them.

Nobody every thinks my breasts are fake, they drop in to a lovely tear drop shape. DH was genuinely amazed when he found out after a few dates! They are also soft and they wobble...I also get the whole natural breast shape if I lean forward aka oranges in the bottom of socks 😂 I'm very pleased with how naturaly mine behave I have to be honest.

Also one.tip, don't freak out when you wake up and it looks like you have two torpedo heads stuck on your chest, they do "soften and drop" after a while and as the swelling goes down you start to realise you aren't actually going to have torpedo boobs 😂

Depends what sort of figure you want to end up with and whether you’re bothered about them looking obviously like implants.

I know people who are tiny with huge implants and love the attention they get, I know others who chose a more subtle/natural increase and you wouldn’t know they were implants.

It’s hard to say what size you should go for without knowing the kind of result that you want.

ittakes2 · 13/11/2018 23:15

Measure out 2 x 360ml into two freezer or other water proof bags and put in your bra. I used to have breast implants but had them out. I was flat as a pancake and they were 200ml which gave me a C cup - but I also weighed only 48 kilos. As others suggested it’s tricky as depends on your body shape, rib cage size, existing tissue, shape of the breast implant etc etc

Jupiter13 · 13/11/2018 23:24

That's like a small beer..I would for for 500ml to be sure..

trojanpony · 13/11/2018 23:37

Personally I’d go slightly smaller all the women I work with who are bigger than a full C complain clothes don’t fit nicely.

but each to their own!

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 14/11/2018 00:00

The fashion for breast implants has definitely changed over the past decade, when I had mine done it was the fake Pamela Anderson look that was in vogue, now I think the more natural look is the popular choice I think the page 3 look has had its day but like a pp said it’s all down to personal preference.

stopgap · 14/11/2018 00:56

I’ve not had implants, but I’m a size 6/8, 5’7 and a 32D. I wouldn’t want to be any bigger than this size, honestly.

If you're a size 6 I'd vote go smaller. Yes the average breast size is a DD or whatever but the average dress size is a 14! You will have relatively large breasts on a relatively small frame so may find buying clothes difficult and back ache etc also it might look very obviously a boob job as it's relatively unusual to have a small frame and large boobs (however this might be the look you're going for?)

I don't know anything about this surgery though and don't know anyone well that's had them done (though have heard of a few people getting them redone smaller after as well as redone bigger)

Changingitagain123 · 14/11/2018 09:50

I really really appreciate all the advice. The person who mentioned body length, my body is short (very long lends), so actually, bit boobs could make my waist look bigger. I’m absolutely certain now that I want smaller implants and I’m going to explain that in the appointment. Thanks for taking the time to help Flowers

all i can really say is that in terms of size & shape i'd try to go for something that's proportionate & appropriate given everything esle about you, e.g. your age, waist/hip/bum/shoulder/etc size, etc.

TheQueef · 14/11/2018 09:54

We honestly can't advise.
Your body size, shape and your posture will all affect how they look.
Be brutally honest, would you rather big boobs or average size?
Then take surgeons advice.
Good luck for the op.

Bit late to the thread but I have implants, I'm 5'6 and size 8 I went from AA to 32D def don't look top heavy and no one even knows unkess I tell them as they don't look out of place in clothes, happy to share picture

Buggeroffbingbunny · 08/12/2018 17:00

Lots of people on here who don’t understand bra sizing and so offer bad advice.

The cup size is relative to your back size. So one persons DD is vety different to another. I’m a 28F and not top heavy at all, but a 38F would probably be very uncomfortable.

Look up boob or bust on Facebook and try their measuring techniques. Most people find they are wearing the complete wrong size bra.

kmc1111 · 08/12/2018 17:30

Definitely go smaller. AA to DD is a really big jump for a petite person.

End of the day, if you’re really unhappy with the smaller implants you can always save up again and go bigger. Going from bigger to smaller is more expensive and more hassle (if done properly) as you’ve stretched out the skin and created the space for a larger implant.

APositiveMind · 08/12/2018 17:36

This makes me so envious. I'm 22yo, have been a 34G since I was about 17. I absolutely hate them, they are the centre of my mental health issues. Got a big fat no from the nhs to have a reduction. I would love to be a C! I think it's the perfect size. Can still go braless without looking pornographic and can boost them up of and when needed.
Good luck with your op and enjoy your new assets!

lljkk · 08/12/2018 17:50

I watch a lot of episodes of Botched (blame DD). I'd err on side of too small rather than bigger. 360 sounds big to me from episodes I've seen. You're used to AA. Going to DD is going to seem BIG change.
