To still be cross at Jeremy Corbin's anorak

It's 11 hours after the event, but at the cenotaph amongst all of the black coats stood Jeremy Corbin in a blue anorak with hood flapping, is this really the best he could do?

ranting eejit

Good name for a band. Or maybe The Ranting Eejits

malificent7 · 15/11/2018 23:50

Failing to see how a plain dark navy anorak sticks out in any way tbh.

Tantrumschmantrum · 16/11/2018 00:01

Oh ffs, an anorak is actually quite sensible given the weather. Maybe the President could of taken a leaf out of his book and he could of stuck his hood up during the rain. At least he turned up!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 16/11/2018 00:03

When the dress code is proper black overcoats for the men, an anorak sticks out.

Fatasfook · 16/11/2018 00:53

39 pages because a bloke wore a waterproof in the rain! Amazing!

Not just any bloke though. It was Jeremy "puppy torturer" Corbyn who can do no right.

happinessischocolate · 16/11/2018 08:19

That says everything about his leadership as he certainly isn’t providing any alternative to May’s Brexit plans

Why would he? When you're opponent is self combusting you just sit back and watch. 😂

Just because labour aren't revealing their plans doesn't mean they haven't got any.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 16/11/2018 08:43

So the biggest change the country has gone through the opposition should use as a political game Hmm

Mmm yes how helpful to the nation

SillySallySingsSongs · 16/11/2018 08:51

Just because labour aren't revealing their plans doesn't mean they haven't got any.

Doesn't mean they have either. They can't even agree amongst themselves.

BorisBogtrotter · 16/11/2018 09:00

The ERG haven't got any plans either.

Neither does UKIP.

Labour have published, in the last manifesto what their plans were, however it does involve a customs union.

@SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius
There are so many 'sub conversations' going on in this thread that it is necessary sometimes to go back and check if you really want to know. I haven't got the patience or the inclination to remember who it was who 'had a go' after I commented. I just responded accordingly.

happinessischocolate · 16/11/2018 11:37

Brexit has been a political game since the start. A game that the Tories have lost every step of the way.

So there's a code written down which he received and ignored?

Limensoda · 16/11/2018 11:42

But the Tories can?? Grin

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 16/11/2018 11:44

@Jwalkden - if I am responding to someone on a thread, I tend to put their name in my reply - as you have in your reply to me- so everyone else on the thread doesn't have to go trawling back through the comments to find out who I am talking to.

I certainly wouldn't swear at someone who asked a reasonable question about who I was addressing!!

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 16/11/2018 11:50

What the Press didn't say wS that JC spent time after this event talking with veterans and families while all the posh black coats fucked off to an after show drinks and lunch. They didn't bother with the survivors.

Still....fancy wearing an anorak.

Idiots

tinstar · 16/11/2018 11:59

Ah - I was forgetting that Jeremy has to have everything written down for him. Silly of me really as I was watching him in the HoC yesterday reading his prepared questions to the PM. He barely glanced up from his script despite being in a situation where any Leader of the Opposition worth his salt would have been able to wipe the floor with her - off the cuff.

Yeah I mean the Royal family do nothing for veterans do they. Hmm

Sweeping statements nake you look silly.

SillySallySingsSongs · 16/11/2018 12:09

No but you can't argue that they are in disarray as the leadership have when different senior peoole from yiur own party have briefed different things in the space of a day.

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 16/11/2018 12:38

I don't give a shiny shite what the Royals do. I do care when it's self serving politicians saying one thing and doing another.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 16/11/2018 12:43

I don't think the dress code for this needed to be written down - it is hardly a State Secret!

If you were going to a funeral, and no dress code had been specified, you would still know what to wear, wouldn't you? And JC has advisors who should have known the accepted dress code - did he ignore them, or are they inept too?

KissingInTheRain · 16/11/2018 12:57

Dolores. How do you know what Corbyn did after the ceremony, and how do you know what others did?

I’m not saying he didn’t do what you’ve told us. I’m just interested in how you know about this.

Limensoda · 16/11/2018 13:00

So the answer to my question, is No, there is no written code?
On my needed a yes or no but never mind....
As JC only had a short time to digest everything from May's document and to prepare questions I think it's fair he had to write down and read out the points he needed to raise.
It hardly matters whether he reads it out or memorises it but of course, don't listen to the content....just concentrate on the method eh?

SillySallySingsSongs · 16/11/2018 13:01

Do you know who they saw and spoke to? No you don't

Clutching at straws there....I think Delores was meaning May, other politicians and leaders...
