Husband sending weird messages - not sure if I am overreacting

So my husband is at the rugby and I've been home with our toddler. DH is rugby mad and it was a last minute decision he was going to the rugby with a mate. This I have absolutely no issue with. He doesn't go out often, doesn't drink a lot, and I have no complaints about our relationship. However, as I suspected, he has decided to go out drinking after the game. He has sent me a photo from FB of three girls I used to work with, who I was friendly with, and for various reasons I won't go into I am NOT friends with now. Under the photo he has wrote - three fannies. I wrote back - where did you get this ? Do you think it's funny ?
I have blocked these girls from Facebook.
He wrote back, Facebook thought it was funny.
I said why would it be funny ? You are meant to be out with friends drinking not trawling through FB and screenshotting pics of MY excolleagues who I don't even work with now and you know how I feel about ! Why would you waste headspace or time on them ?

Am I being over sensitive because of how I feel about these girls or is it a bizarre message ? How would you all feel ?

It sounds like a bit of an odd response from you. Am I right in thinking he's out drinking, saw a pic of them on Facebook, screenshotted it and sent it to you? It's childish but not much more than that. Or do you have reason to think he's went onto their profiles and searched for a picture to send?

If I were to receive similar I'd probably ignore it, it certainly wouldn't rile me up.

Spankyoumuchly · 10/11/2018 18:38

Doesn't he mean pussy?🙄
Dh would be collected from the pub by me (I'd have to bring my dcs, no babysitter), if he put something like that on Facebook! Or the locks changed until he stopped being such a arsehole.

AnyFucker · 10/11/2018 18:40

I think that is a weird thing for him to do. It makes him sound like a complete tosser.

CoughLaughFart · 10/11/2018 18:42

I think you sound ridiculous and controlling. Why would you go into a strop about a picture? It’s not like he’s spending time with them or trying to befriend them. I’d promptly ditch someone who reacted the way you are.

CoughLaughFart · 10/11/2018 18:43

Dh would be collected from the pub by me (I'd have to bring my dcs, no babysitter), if he put something like that on Facebook!

You sound incredibly controlling. This isn’t normal.

Racecardriver · 10/11/2018 18:44

There’s a massive back story here

DawgLover · 10/11/2018 18:44

Spankyoumuchly I don't think he has put it on Facebook though? Just sent a picture he got from Facebook directly to her, with the wording below it. Which is obviously immature but not the same as posting that on shared social media.

Mightywease · 10/11/2018 18:48

Tbh it sounds like he was getting to make a joke. A stupid, clumsy, drunken joke.

If it were my DH I'd leave it until tomorrow then laugh at his hangover and ask him about it when he's sober before explaining that it really wasn't funny

mummymeister · 10/11/2018 18:54

when you are drunk things that aren't funny seem hilarious. he was just trying to share something with you that in his state he thought was funny and it isn't. unless there is a massive back story on this then I would just let it drop. if he texts you something else drunk again just say. "hmm, no thanks. speak to you in the morning".

ReadMyLipss · 10/11/2018 18:54

That's a pretty odd thing of him to do. It's hard to imagine what thought processes he went through to think you'd find it funny to get a pic of people you don't like and then to write what he did.

GreenMeerkat · 10/11/2018 18:56

*waiting for the drip feed....

Cheeeeislifenow · 10/11/2018 19:00

I think he is a bit drunk and is just joking and gossiping a bit with you. His mates are probably in the loop.
My DH got lost in vegas and separated from the his mates.. he text me some mad stuff that night!!

PouchofDouglas · 10/11/2018 19:00

He didn’t mean to send it to you

ems137 · 10/11/2018 19:02

I would find that extremely odd. I can't actually understand why he would send that. Did he purposely search their Facebook pages for photos to send you? Why?!

Cheeeeislifenow · 10/11/2018 19:02

Sorry his mates are in the loo..

Move2WY · 10/11/2018 19:03

I think he was joking. Has either been gossiping about them and try to join you in on the joke in a clumsy way or maybe they popped up on Facebook memories. Either way, let it go - you’re letting your dislike of them cloud your feelings here x

Lifeisabeach09 · 10/11/2018 19:03

Obviously inebriated. Probably thought you'd appreciate him making fun of the three women you used to work and no longer get on with.
Nice of him to screenshot you something from FB, keeping you in the loop.:D
I'm not sure why you're annoyed.

AnyFucker · 10/11/2018 19:03

Op...are you going to come back to explain further ?

BlueskiesLonglies · 10/11/2018 19:05

I

He’s pissed.

BlueskiesLonglies · 10/11/2018 19:07

I think I'll put it down to trying to be funny. There's obviously a back story as to why I don't like these girls but nothing major - which is why it came out the blue and made me think eh ? I have no idea if the picture is old or new, and don't particularly care. Thanks for your thoughts.

Fannies in Scotland means idiots, is this what he meant?

BlueskiesLonglies · 10/11/2018 19:10

Yes, basically calling them idiots. It just took me by surprise.

ILoveAutum · 10/11/2018 19:11

I’d be a bit confused and a bit pissed off, but I’d leave it until he was home and sober to ask ‘WTAF?’

Spank. If you did that to me, you’d be single.

Whiskeyjar · 10/11/2018 19:11

Sounds like he's seen their pic on Facebook, screenshot it and said 'three fannies' as a joke thinking you would find it funny. Where are you from? If you are Scottish then it makes more sense! Anyway, don't over think this! Put it down to drunken nonsense and move on from it
