Husband sending weird messages - not sure if I am overreacting

So my husband is at the rugby and I've been home with our toddler. DH is rugby mad and it was a last minute decision he was going to the rugby with a mate. This I have absolutely no issue with. He doesn't go out often, doesn't drink a lot, and I have no complaints about our relationship. However, as I suspected, he has decided to go out drinking after the game. He has sent me a photo from FB of three girls I used to work with, who I was friendly with, and for various reasons I won't go into I am NOT friends with now. Under the photo he has wrote - three fannies. I wrote back - where did you get this ? Do you think it's funny ?
I have blocked these girls from Facebook.
He wrote back, Facebook thought it was funny.
I said why would it be funny ? You are meant to be out with friends drinking not trawling through FB and screenshotting pics of MY excolleagues who I don't even work with now and you know how I feel about ! Why would you waste headspace or time on them ?

Am I being over sensitive because of how I feel about these girls or is it a bizarre message ? How would you all feel ?

Why the hell would you be on facebook when you're out with your mates
Probably one of those people that feels the need to tell everyone where he is/that he has a social life etc via check-in.

I'm from SE England and calling someone a fanny definitely means idiot here too. Or some similar such light-hearted insult.

LasMeninas · 10/11/2018 20:10

Just like "tit" and "dick".

SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 10/11/2018 20:11

Dh would be collected from the pub by me (I'd have to bring my dcs, no babysitter), if he put something like that on Facebook! Or the locks changed until he stopped being such a arsehole.

😂😂😂😂

You're kidding, right?

Irn Bru fannie advert

SleepySofa · 10/11/2018 20:16

I don’t actually understand why you were upset in the first plac, tbh. If DP did this, I’d just think he was taking the nick out of people I didn’t like, to show solidarity with me.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 10/11/2018 20:30

Off the cuff OP it sounds like a grown up man having a few drinks and being a bit of a teenager with his mates and a grown up woman over-analysing a bit Flowers

TheWickerWoman · 10/11/2018 20:39

He was just saying he thinks they’re idiots, I don’t get the big deal here?

GabsAlot · 10/11/2018 20:45

i think hes come across it and wanted just to say looka tthese idiots coz he knwos u dont like thm

dont think it means anything

CoughLaughFart · 10/11/2018 20:48

Well lucky lucky him. An adult man goes out and his wife is gracious enough to have ‘no issue’ with it.

He was just saying he thinks they’re idiots, I don’t get the big deal here?

There isn’t one.

MumOnTheFun · 10/11/2018 21:04

I agree that it sounds like he was sending you a message of solidarity after seeing the picture. Cute in its weird way!! Hes drunk but still totally feeling he has your back. Go easy on him, and yourself xx
