Is this dinner really that bad?

Im home alone tonight and really can't be bothered cooking.
Had leftover cauliflower cheese so heated it up and added a tin of tuna.

My mum just rang and basically said it sounded disgusting.
It tasted fine. Does it sound that vile?

If you’ve enjoyed it, what does it matter?

CluedoCat · 09/11/2018 19:50

I wouldn't like it, but each to their own.

Andtheresaw · 09/11/2018 19:52

Cauliflower cheese and tuna? Yum!

legolimb · 09/11/2018 19:56

Well I am on a v strict meal plan at the moment.

Sometimes the combos I make up with whatever I have of protein, carbs, fat and veg can be strange. Today's lunch was white fish, pasta, cucumber and avocado. All cold. Meh.. it's food.

If you enjoyed it then that is fine. :)

BiggerBoat1 · 09/11/2018 19:59

That does a bit cat-foody.

MicroManaged · 09/11/2018 20:01

I’d eat it, it sounds nice to me.

I’m firmly of the ‘stick a tin of tuna in it’ mentality though.

I’ve done it with homemade tomato pasta sauce, soup and med veg to name a few 😂

Tuna, beans and pasta is also bloody lovely!

Bellabonkers · 09/11/2018 20:01

My stomach is actually making strange noises now Blush
Knew I should have ordered a pizza. O well

AnyFucker · 09/11/2018 20:02

It's very beige

But I love it 😁

Blanchedupetitpois · 09/11/2018 20:02

Sounds rank, but as long as you liked it what’s the issue!

Batteriesallgone · 09/11/2018 20:04

Sounds disgusting BUT from a nutritional point of view, probably quite good.

So if I was your mum I’d be saying something along the lines of oh wonderful isn’t tuna good for you...keeping my mind-vomit reaction to myself

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 09/11/2018 20:06

Cauliflower and tuna? 🤢
But if you enjoyed it what's the problem Grin

Bellabonkers · 09/11/2018 20:08

My mum is negatively vocal about many things.
Looks like I've just added my food choices to her long long list

Enko · 09/11/2018 20:09

If you had added ham she wouldn't have said a thing You picked a different protein not one I would have picked but ho hum.

LittleMe03 · 09/11/2018 20:10

Sounds like something my mum would say so I wouldn't have even bothered telling her 😂

IHeartMarmiteToast · 09/11/2018 20:15

I bloody love tuna and cheese so cauli cheese with tuna sounds bloody lovely!!

mummmy2017 · 09/11/2018 20:16

The game now is to really find things you like she won't.

Babybearsporij · 09/11/2018 20:17

I'd eat that. It sounds lovely.

MaryShelley1818 · 09/11/2018 20:18

I can't open a tin of tuna unfortunately. My feline overlords would swarm in and riot.

It sounds tasty though OP. Grin

Snowdrifthill · 09/11/2018 20:22

Yes, but did you cover it in tomato sauce? If so, it sounds delicious!

Bellabonkers · 09/11/2018 20:22

Not really that bothered that much..just know this will have to pop up in her conversations until at least 2020. Grin

I once made a lovely tuna, haricot beans and cheese dish, all mashed together and baked. Tasty and very filling.
