Is this dinner really that bad?

Im home alone tonight and really can't be bothered cooking.
Had leftover cauliflower cheese so heated it up and added a tin of tuna.

My mum just rang and basically said it sounded disgusting.
It tasted fine. Does it sound that vile?

Thanks for the approving replies.
I might email Mary Berry and see if she wants to add my concoction to her recipe book Smile

Would she have said the same if you'd had a jacket potato with tuna with some cauliflower cheese on the side? Personally I think it sounds fine OP

I have to disagree with a op. Fish and cheese do go together, hence the tuna melt

Blondebakingmumma · 11/11/2018 00:18

Correction- disagree with pp

It sounds terrible, but it's not as if you inflicted it on anyone else, so who cares? If you're home alone, there should be no judgement of food...

Fish and cheese DEFINITELY go together! Fish pie with cheese on the mash, tuna melt, tuna pizza, cod in cheese sauce (aka cod mornay) - oh and LOOK WHAT I FOUND when I googled cod mornay! <a class="break-all" href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/cod-cauliflower-chorizo-mornaywww.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/cod-cauliflower-chorizo-mornay" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/cod-cauliflower-chorizo-mornaywww.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/cod-cauliflower-chorizo-mornay Cod, cauliflower and cheese! Ok, so it's not tuna but it's fish, cauliflower and cheese (I wouldn't add the chorizo, I don't like it).

Ha!

It isn't the fish and cheese that's wrong here it's the cauliflower.

Cauliflower and a tin of tuna? Nope. Never. 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

Sounds good to me, nutritious too. We all have different tastes, your mum obviously isn't a cheesy fishy type :-).
