Mumma and Mutha make me think of Instawankery.

I have a school friend on FB who refers to her son as 'little man'. Had a lovely day at the beach with little man today. I know lots of people that use this and it makes me cringe, but in this particular case little man is about 12!

My 20 year old daughter calls me momma (usually with a drawl for full effect)- started as a piss-take and stuck. I sign cards etc to her as momma. Except one time when I'd had a few Christmas sherries and signed it from mooma.

I hate it, but my best friends kids call her Mumma and my kids sometimes copy. I have to remind them that I am Mummy NOT Mumma. Personal taste thing.
