AIBU to not wear panty liners every day?

Tbh this is a complete new one for me. Was having a conversation with a friend yesterday who wears panty liners every day and has done since she was 15. I’d never heard of this before and told her so. She told me I was a manky minge Grin and that everybody wore them. Is this true? Thoughts please ....

"What’s funny is that all these ‘feminist’ replies about pantyliners being unnecessary actually come across as extremely misogynistic towards women who do have a genuine need for them."

Isn’t it interesting reading the bossy replies, I never thought a panty liner thread would make me so angry , but yes some people do need them.

DwangelaForever · 08/11/2018 22:07

Vicious circle! If you wear them everyday your bits become more irritated and susceptible to leakage then you'll need to use them 😂

slimeyjoe · 08/11/2018 22:16

I wear them every day. Reading this thread has been very eye opening. Judgy much? Do t know if anyone actually posted a link to washable ones but I’ve had a few from here..

Soz about the leaky vag.

Why are people talking about discharge like it's some dirty disease? Really out of order. Everyone has a smell down there and also a bit of moisture- even if they wash twice a day and are disease free. Get a grip people.

Shitlandpony · 08/11/2018 22:20

Love the science about wearing them makes you produce more discharge Grin

madeyemoodysmum · 08/11/2018 22:27

People are so rude. I have a heavy cold and cough right now so this week had to break into my emergency pack of full on thick Tena lady pads.

Next week hopefully I'll be back to liners

Excuse me for not wanting to piss myself in public. Hmm

Shitlandpony · 08/11/2018 22:31

Grin with you on that

GetYourRocksOff · 08/11/2018 22:31

Whet I'd the make equivalent product to stop the patches of discharge they leave on their underwear?

loveablether · 08/11/2018 22:32

I wear them if I'm in them all day and night and take the liner off and feel fresh again! But agree bad for environment

MuffyMcMoist · 08/11/2018 22:32

^What’s funny is that all these ‘feminist’ replies about pantyliners being unnecessary actually come across as extremely misogynistic towards women who do have a genuine need for them. I actually think this is the most misogynistic and ignorant thread I’ve ever seen on Mumsnet*

I totally agree with you. It's a miserable scenario where women cannot empathise with others.

But, hey. That's the nature of AIBU. Every woman here has an axe to grind on their very crossest day. Dont't dare to have a hormonal increase in vaginal excretions during pregnancy or after birth.

Mumsnet will eat you up and spit you out.

Shitlandpony · 08/11/2018 22:33

Oh look, actual science says that it is bollocks

No, you were rude.

Perhaps I'm a sour puss because my vagina is so acidic Wink

squeekums · 08/11/2018 22:53

i wear them every day, have for years.
I like being able to change them at slightest discharge, i hate the feeling and also as a tampon backup. Its just personal preference.
Dont care what others do, i really dont get the judgement.

Den1se · 08/11/2018 22:54

Never heard of them

Letsgetreadytorumba · 08/11/2018 23:19

Of course nanalisa60, women who change their knickers Daily never need panty liners. It’s just those of us who don’t wash who do Hmm

ProfessorMoody · 08/11/2018 23:21

@madeyemoodysmum

People who wear pantyliners must have a minge from Satan. Just don't get it 😬

ProfessorMoody · 08/11/2018 23:32

No thanks, Nanalisa. I like my name. Perhaps you should change yours to ODFOD.
