If 141 pounds is 10 stone 1, how come 137 pounds is 9 stone 7?

It's only 4 pounds less, but there's 14 pounds in a stone. Is it me?

Confused

Where have your figures come from?

Jengnr · 03/11/2018 16:25

Is it 9 stone 7 or 9.7 stone? They’re not the same thing.

Bluebiscuits · 03/11/2018 16:25

9st7 is 133lbs

SoyDora · 03/11/2018 16:25

It’s not 9 stone 7, it’s 9.7 stone. Approx 9 stone 11lbs.

OutragedEtc · 03/11/2018 16:25

It’s not, it’s 9st 11

Are you thinking of 9 point 7?

MadameJosephine · 03/11/2018 16:26

137 pounds is 9 stone 11 not 9 stone 7

PomBearWithoutHerOFRS · 03/11/2018 16:26

133 lbs is 9 7.
14lbs in a stone.
140-14 (for nine stone) is 126, then add seven for 133.

Notacluewhatthisis · 03/11/2018 16:26

Yes it's you. You have your maths wrong.

LittleBearPad · 03/11/2018 16:26

It’s 7/10ths of a stone so about 9 stone 10 lbs.

AnonymousIndividual · 03/11/2018 16:27

No, it's not you.

141 lbs is 10st 1lb.

9st 7lbs is 133 lbs.

137 lbs is 9st 11lbs.

Kewqueue · 03/11/2018 16:27

It's 9 stone 11.

tabulahrasa · 03/11/2018 16:27

133lb is 9st 7, not 137lb...

grumpy4squash · 03/11/2018 16:27

14 pounds in a stone, so 140 is 10 stone. 141 is 10 stone 1. 137 is 9 stone 11

MarklahMarklah · 03/11/2018 16:27

Something awry with the calculation here.
14lb in a stone, so 141 lb = 10st 1, but 137lb isn't 9st 9. 4lb less than 10st 1 is 9st 11.

Merryoldgoat · 03/11/2018 16:27

140lb is 10 stone, 133lb is 9st 7lb

I don’t know where your figures are from but they’re both wrong.

homeishere · 03/11/2018 16:28

🤦‍♀️

CaptainCabinets · 03/11/2018 16:31

Is this for real 😳😂

kaytee87 · 03/11/2018 16:32

Erm... as others have said. Your figures are wrong. 9st7lbs is 133lbs.

137lbs is is 9st11lbs

butterflysugarbaby · 03/11/2018 16:44

PMSL, are you glue OP!?

Notacluewhatthisis · 03/11/2018 16:45

This remind me of my auntie, who at a family party fell put with a load of people because she insisted the year 2000 shouldn't be 2000.

She said it should have been 1998, 1999, 1920.

She could grasp that the number after 1999 is 2000. She really saw her arse over it and is still convinced she is right nearly 20 years later

Vixxxy · 03/11/2018 16:47
Hmm
Member745520 · 03/11/2018 16:47

I just wish my current weight related to any of those answers Grin

InfiniteVariety · 03/11/2018 16:49

Notacluewhatthisis what happened when you all pointed out that 1920 had actually already gone by??

LOL!

This puts me in mind of an aunt of MINE, who insisted 100% that there were THIRTEEN months in the year. There are 13 four-week periods, but 12 months obviously. She would NOT hear any different, and even when we produced a 12 month calendar, she turned her nose up and said 'it's 13 months, you can say what you like!'

So bizarre!
