If you've wrapped any for children I bet they change their mind on what they want, so you're not finished yet. Grin

cabingirl · 31/10/2018 17:50

Not unreasonable to feel smug but completely unreasonable to rub it in our faces!!!

Fridaydreamer · 31/10/2018 17:52

Nah. The wrapping needs to be done in December with a Xmas movie on the TV and a Baileys in hand. You’ve peaked too soon my friend [santa]

TheABC · 31/10/2018 17:53

I am torn between admiration for how efficient you are and slight horror at how early you are. Did the wrapping paper have broomsticks and skull? :-)

ButDoYouAvocado · 31/10/2018 17:55

How sad.

UrsulaPandress · 31/10/2018 17:55

Why?

FordGirl · 31/10/2018 17:56

Me too!! Takes away the stress of finding time to wrap it all nearer Christmas!

Tobebythesea · 31/10/2018 17:57

Agree with Fridaydreamer I’m afraid!

Meh, you'll feel sorry in December when everyone else is enjoying the festive feeling these little jobs give us. You can't get that when you're answering the door to trick or treaters 🤔

IdahoCrow · 31/10/2018 17:58

How do you know what the DC want? Genuine question, OP.

RayRayBidet · 31/10/2018 17:58

Well done smug cow

I don't see the point. Surely children will change their minds/want different things over the next two months?

And like a PP said I enjoy the feeling of wrapping presents with Baileys near the tree and a movie or Michael Buble playing in the background!

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 31/10/2018 18:02

YABU it's October ffs

Piss off back to the Christmas topic (which I've hidden Grin)

tinytemper66 · 31/10/2018 18:03

I have written the majority of my cards whilst laid up with a broken ankle!

SabineUndine · 31/10/2018 18:05

I'm with Shagged. Bah humbug.

jaseyraex · 31/10/2018 18:07

I'm done too OP! I'm not a Christmas person so I like to get it all out the way. DC not quite at the point of choosing what they want so no worries on the changing minds front for me. I also like to wrap DHs as soon as I get his things because he's a snooping bastard!

fieldgold · 31/10/2018 18:08

Whatever floats yer boat I say!

No kids here, so I suppose I have mine all wrapped up too, because there are none! Just cash to the under 18s niece and nephew, just two of them left under 18 now.

Siblings do not buy for each other, and friends have agreed the same. DH and I do not buy for each other either, but we go away for a week post Christmas instead.

It is an individual thing, but it suits all of us. Haven't heard any complaints apart from sighs of relief all round! And we are saving the planet from tat, plastic, wrapping and landfill. So may I be smug too, lol...

Enjoy your Christmas YOUR WAY x

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 31/10/2018 18:09

You'll get a visit from one of the less welcome Christmas visitors......

THE TWITCH

Xmas Grin Xmas Shock Xmas Wink

The Twitch: noun verb It's when yiy think you've finished . Then you wrap them and think "Oh Sam has far more than Amy"

So you go out and buy some more for Amy .
And you see something Sam would love
But he'll have more than Amy ...

So you go out ......... Aaattgghhh Xmas Grin

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 31/10/2018 18:10

Great, you can come and do mine now!

FlippinNora1 · 31/10/2018 18:13

goodiegoodieyumyum · 31/10/2018 18:14

Its my sons birthday Sunday, I havent even started wrapping his presents and I have to wrap all the ones my family buys off the Internet for him too. I havent even thought about presents for Christmas, except for wish lists for my family as they live a long way a way.

speakout · 31/10/2018 18:15

I wouldn't want to finish at this time.
I'm enjoying Halloween right now.

And besides I love wrapping christmas presents- done in the week before christmas.
I pour myself a glass of wine, put on some christmas music and really enjoy the afternoon.

Purpleartichoke · 31/10/2018 18:16

I bow down to you

My goal is by thanksgiving
